Ah, je me rappelle de ça gamin dans "Les Contes de Grand-Père". J'ai plus l'histoire qui allait avec ce Pays de Cocagne, mais ça m'avait marqué.

Couverture du livre "Les Contes de Grand-Père" aux éditions Gründ, représentant une sorte d'énorme lézard hérissé de pointes, enserrant un chevalier qui peine à se dégager. Le lézard a la gueule entrouverte, prêt à engloutir le chevalier.

My guess is Doom on the board with several villains and comboing with a Loki, Lord of Misrule

MtG card : Loki, Lord of misrule, who makes all creatures you control into one of them, which would allow for every land discarded to deal twice the amount of creatures you control (and triggering the same amount of connive)

This card + Gravecrawler + a sac outlet = instant death. Finally you can concede using the stack.

Gravecrawler MTG card : the important feature here is that you can cast this from your graveyard as long as you control a zombie, so if you do, using the mana generated by the commander, you can cast it infinitely (and die)

It happened a lot in the earlier days, when the flavor texts where sometimes quotes of french poetry or theater plays. For example, the Drudge Skeleton one comes from François Villion (medieval french poet). Same goes for the Nightmare

Mtg Card "Drudge Skeleton", but in french version, where the flavor text reads "Prince Jésus, qui sur tous a maîtrie, Garde qu'Enfer n'ait de nous seigneurie", by Villon, in Testament, ballad of the hanged (the translation would be akin to "Prince Jesus, who on all has mastery, keep hell from having dominion over us"

French version of the Mtg card "Nightmare" (Cheval de Cauchemar) whose flavour text reads "Ô reine de la nuit, Hécate aux noirs chevaux !" (O, queen of the night, Hecate with the black horses" )

I made a zombie deck with Acererak just to run the ceremony, without the infinite combo. Just having fun with it.

This card would be amazing in a Mr Negative deck. My alternate wincon is Heartless Hidetsugu with a damage doubler, because it was the first combo I devised as a kid. Was so proud of myself. And one day, I'll make it work in commander.
