Meanwhile in Mexico we watched it last week...

I still enjoyed Walpurgisnacht and I have a suspicion I would enjoy it more on a rewatch like I did with Rebellion but it's definitely a weird movie

Madoka Magica Walpurgisnacht Rising is a beautiful mess. Kind of weird how the movies couldn't replicate the tight storytelling of the original series

Now I'm even more nervous for Walpurgisnacht Rising since most of the reactions I've seen online to it have been kind of mixed...

Although the ending still upsets me a bit, I decided to bump Madoka Magica Rebellion's MAL score from 8 to 9 because on the whole it's awesome!

Usually completely blacked out cars aren't my thing but the green highlights kind of make it work

The new Madoka Magica movie is finally in theaters in Japan and I recently had the opportunity to revisit the original series which is my favorite anime of all time. Does it still hold up? Read my post to find out my thoughts lambolarz13.wordpress.com/2026/08/27/i...

I Watched My Favorite Anime After Many Years, Does It Still Hold Up?

It’s been about 10 years since I watched Puella Magi Madoka Magica for the very first time and maybe 5 years since the last time I saw it. Can I still call it my favorite anime after all this…

The first Madoka movie suffers a bit from pacing rhythm because of exposition and how fast things must develop. The second movie fortunately doesn't suffer from that and it's perfection imo.

I want to write something on Madoka as this month's blog post but I have no idea how to approach it. Madoka is a show that meant so much to me, still means a lot to me, but trying to approach it after so many years is kind of...scary ngl.

Just coming back home from watching the first Madoka Magica movie and, while I think the pacing suffers a bit in movie format, Madoka holds up after all this years i think. Tomorrow it's movie 2 and next month Rebellion, the latter of which I'm dreading...

I'm actually glad the first two movies are going to be shown next month while Rebellion is on September and I'm assuming Walpurgisnacht Rising is in October...close enough to be fresh in my head, separate enough for my wallet to recover lol

I missed the first time they showed the Madoka Magica movies in theaters in my country so hopefully I get to watch them all, including the new one, this time around!

I thought this season of anime would be a little more calm than the last one but, if anything, it's been even more overwhelming than Spring...

I mean, it's sort of trickling down already. The first one to come up with this was Koenigsegg for their 5 million USD hypercar and now Ferrari is making a sub-million dollar car with the same tech so it would be only natural for Hyundai or some other mass market brand to do it next.

I wouldn't say they are "elite", after I'm in a toxic relatioship with Rent-a-Girlfriend lol but I do appreciate shows with good production values (animation, art, etc.) I guess, that's what "well crafted" means to me.

I don't really have genre preferences tbh, I watch just about any type of show as long as it's well crafted and/or entertaining

Thanks! If I had to pick I guess as far as completely new shows the ones I'm most excited for are Sparks of Tomorrow and Jaadugar. As for sequels I'm pretty excited for more You and I are Polar Opposite.

Based on my page stats the majority of those likes are bots lol. I'd really appreciate a read though, these are just the shows I'm personally looking forward to watching myself so there's always the posibility that I'm missing something that turns out to be really good.
