I know I should just close my eyes and try to sleep but I can't help but ruminate on all my life and all my trauma. It comes to this point, I was never looked after properly as a child, I had to look after myself mostly. Then I was abused by my other parent. So all I want now is to be looked after.

Or worse I'll get hurt again or assualted again. I just cannot let my guard down fully. If I do then I'm not safe and not protected. I am the only one who can protect myself. Thats how I grew up. Yet the yearning I have for someone to look after me is unreal.

That is assuming I can ever trust someone enough to let them look after me and care for me. Which seems impossible. Even the poeple I love the most in my life do not get to look after me, at least not for long. All because it feels scary and wrong and like it's all going to end badly and fall apart

I'm not saying I don't have this already btw. I just came to the realisation that what I really want from partners is for them to make me feel safe and understood. For them to care for me like actually look after me. I don't think I've ever had that and it would be nice.

Sexuality crisis is happening again. Ffs. I think I'm truly realising the asexualness I experience is because I want sex to feel earned and special. Not just a fling or flirt. I want to be loved and cared for and wanted, but not just because I could be had sex with. I want to be loved for me first
