Tupelo Press will not be altering our 25-year mission to promote contemporary poetry and literary prose by emerging and established writers of diverse ethnic and cultural backgrounds, including, especially, women and writers of color, as well as the LGBTQ+, immigrant, and Native American communities. We aim to develop wider audiences for, and deeper understanding of, innovative, multi-cultural writing by essential participants in this conversation. At the same time, we undertake to enhance the reading experience itself by publishing and distributing gorgeously designed and produced books. If adherence to our principles means that we will be ineligible for NEA grants going forward, so be it. Compliance with the new regulations would be immoral.

LAST SEEN: SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 22, 2024 Downtown Chicago (East Bank Club at Kinzie St. and Kingsbury St.) at which he experienced a medical incident that resulted in ambulance transfer to Northwestern Hospital, where he later self-discharged and has not been heard from since. Adam has been residing primarily in Traverse City, Michigan the past two years, but has also recently traveled to former residences in Maui, San Diego, and Chicago (where he lived for nearly 10 years). In Chicago, he is known to frequent Streeterville, River North, and Gold Coast neighborhoods, including Holy Name Cathedral. Adam has a charming personality, enjoys working out, playing music, and the water, especially Lake Michigan. Adam may be attempting to travel outside of Chicago, and he may be experiencing a mental health episode.
