Getting packed for Aquatifur. Tried to take a cute photo of my wife wrangling Guz so we could wrap him up and it instead looks like she just snapped his neck

Deadweights ends soon!! The campaign has just 10 hours to go. All the designs were unlocked and post-campaign stock will be limited, so consider snagging your favorite now, especially since the price post-campaign will go up! www.backerkit.com/c/projects/l...

This size is not for sale sadly! Guz is our big ol' booth beast. If we sold one it would cost $Fursuit Money since you could fit like 2 entire grown ass dudes in this plush LOL We'll have more manageably sized Guz available someday!

Lairbrew 🔜 Aquatifur GoH @lairbrew.bsky.social · 04/10/2026

An unexpected plush shipment arrived and when I said he's the definition of too big I meant it... just Guz's head took about 3 giant werewolves worth of stuffing. Haven't gotten to weigh him yet but I estimate about 65lbs. Expect to start seeing our new pal at cons!

Aquatifur is almost here! Since we're GoH we'll be running multiple interactive panels: - Learn about keeping house chickens, and meet one! - Find out how the plush sausage is made! - Answer dragonsona prompts and color your own kobold minion! - Draw a new bird OC while learning weird bird stuff!

BK has also left a page with multiple scam projects impersonating a friend. After multiple reports they took it down for like a day and PUT IT RIGHT BACK UP.. That alone has me wanting to chew a hole through someone's office door and start screeching like I'm trying to echolocate for paper clips

Lairbrew 🔜 Aquatifur GoH @lairbrew.bsky.social · 01/10/2026

Backerkit's backend is easier than Kickstarter's! But it has increasingly poor shipping options as USPS struggles to stay afloat. Discoverability is also worse with so many AI plush projects appearing, so the benefits vs Kickstarter are becoming slivers of margins. Both are ships on fire it sucks

Lairbrew 🔜 Aquatifur GoH @lairbrew.bsky.social · 01/10/2026

Would you rather see a small plush campaign for 1 or 2 new designs vs a whole series, and do you prefer Backerkit or Kickstarter? Is one or the other preferred by you for a particular reason?

They will be. It might be possible to do pay-in-4 through a service like Klarna by making a 1 time use card, but because of how Backerkit's works (which is it just doesn't) I really can't use it :(

I think some stuff got mixed up/misremembered- AQF 2024 was our 2nd furry convention, but it was during our first year doing cons and it is our favorite! We'll do our best to be worthy of the awesome staff and attendees who make it feel like home.

Con haul from Denfur 2026. Honestly I lost track of expenses after I put $300 into a custom made Vaporeon plush.

I saw you were there after you were packed up and was like NOOO I SHOULD'VE LEFT THE TABLE esp since I saw you had a dark green dragon haha. I am sorry I didn't come by, we were slammed.. I didn't get to leave the booth at all. It went great for us, I hope you did well!

I'm not sure! I would like to do a campaign for Guz and Udon, but my Backerkit schedule has been really full this year so I haven't made solid decisions. If I wasn't paying for him out of pocket I'd probably up the size again, if I could order enough to keep the price lower

He would have been if funded on there! We prototyped him slightly smaller for speed, and if we release him out of pocket we plan to do the smaller size so he doesn't cost like a fourth of our mortgage haha

Saturday is almost done, but we're still here! Stock updates below.

1132

Lairbrew 🔜 Aquatifur GoH @lairbrew.bsky.social · 28/08/2026

We brought 40 of each color so I'm hoping we'll have plenty! They have been more popular than expected but it is mostly the brown finding homes

Hey #DenFur we're here and we've got 18" white werewolves and brown werewolves! Our booth is in the back left corner. Look for the Guz flags!

2122

Lairbrew 🔜 Aquatifur GoH @lairbrew.bsky.social · 27/08/2026

Also before anyone asks: No, we will not be mass producing this big guy for sale! They're a true-to-size version of Guz for mascot related business stuff only, sadly. Trust me that's for the best! There is such thing as too big, and they just might be it.
