Thinking on it further I think the reason Alien Isolation worked for me despite these views, is crucially they DO give you options to try to fight the unkillable monsters! Multiple even! It's just for most part Ill advised at best or a prank on you the player as is the case with the gun lol

I appreciate Amnesia and Outlast for their cultural impact but I kinda can't stand playing either or any horror game that uses their idea of stealth or mechanics It kinda sucks because I know some people love that but those systems are like my kryptonite

Im currently running a Sovereign as my Healer in Etrian Odyssey 3 and it's method of healing is staying at full health for a party heal at end of turn This means when a random encounter beans him my heal engine dies meaning Im encouraged to buy potions and use them on him while exploring dungeons

I really enjoyed this post game over Etrian Odyssey 1's as it actually felt like a proper build up to the main threat with the final stratum itself being less mean spirited but more tied to the games sidequests!!! I Also adored the soft Wizardry 1 reference in the final floors layout a lot!!! X3
