The federal liberal response to this has been milquetoast. My liberal MP in Edmonton Center won't even return my emails or calls. She has been by far the worst MP I have ever had. At least Boissonault would email me back.

I've got a few surplus workstations I use. My main server is a 2u rackmount I got from a recycler for $20. So far the only issue has been that pihole doesn't play nice with certbot.

Pretty far. Just canceled my last VPS and shifted it to an on prem server. All my other services are available via openvpn to my home network. Its great. I have 3 servers running various things.

That's part of it, but insurance in Alberta has been a decades long trainwreck. 15 years ago it was still insane. When the NDP were in power, they offered rate caps, and it was just a bandage on a gaping wound.
