Our AQI in the pdx metro area has progressively grown worse since mid-morning. We're in the 'unhealthy for sensitive people' category at present, but it feels petty to complain when so many in WA/OR have already lost so much. Our hearts are with them. This evening’s sunset is eerily beautiful.

I do truly love the Scottish people. My Mother had a quarter in her dna. I would move there in a heartbeat if they ever declare independence, and I'm happy, albeit fascinated, with their amazement at discovering Waffle House; but not in this lifetime will I go near an IrnBru again. rusty nails.

et voila. That's my friend, Cassia, out front of Brad & Angie's. She'd met them at a local African restaurant in the quarter when she lived in nola, and they became friends. Since then, she's gone on to become a film/tv actress in her home country of Brazil and in Portugal, where she now lives.

She died in a house fire in 1962 and though I wasn't able to get to know her, I will never forget her. I think my Dad and brother both resembled her. Perhaps some day, we'll all meet up again, somewhere past the horizon, converse in French, and get reacquainted. Her name was Anne. #familymemories

My personal sunrise service was in the marsh this morning. Saw no other humans, but lots of birds and wildlife. I even saw the Easter bunny! Immersing oneself in Nature is incredibly healing and I am v grateful to live in this beautiful place.
