"Don't fly SWA then" They're all the same now: there's no better or worse airline. There's no way to "speak with your wallet". That's why I'm so sad about this -- something objectively good regressed to the mean and there's nothing to be done about it. So it goes.

"You need the credit card/loyalty/status for the perks" They deliberately took these "perks" away; I didn't need status before - why would I become loyal to SWA after that?

Ultimately we made it safely to our destination, on-time, which seems like about all you can ask for these days. I'm just sad that $SWA is not an attractive option anymore relative to the alternatives. And they deliberately chose to do this. Because they can. And fuck you. Ah well.

Flight out is less than half booked, and we're delighted that we will probably have a seat free between us, especially after what we paid for these seats. Nope. Someone was assigned to sit right between us, with SEVERAL EMPTY ROWS available on the flight. Nobody on the flight can change this.

At least I get to pick the seats with this exhorbitant fare. Husband likes aisle; I like window seats. We book BWI to MKE (unassigned seat between us) for $1500 (!). The suits we have to bring to the funeral don't fly free anymore and cost us $100 (round trip).

The loss of 2 free bags hurts but the knife twist was the loss of "pick your own seat" -- taken from us in the name of "fuel economy" 🙄 Lost a family member two weeks ago and needed a last-minute flight to MKE. Paid for an extortion-tier $SWA fare, but that's expected with last minute bookings.

Rant: After $SWA Dec. 2022 tech implosion and the following PR debacle, it feels like they deliberately made their offerings worse with anti-customer decisions "You'll all be sorry; you have no idea how good you had it" There's no reason to fly SWA over alternatives anymore And I'm sad about it

I'd make a sex joke involving horsecocks but in reality, when I'm fursuiting as Laika for any extended period of time, the birdlike head movements take a toll on my neck 💀

Always appreciate it when someone helps fill my @safler.bsky.social up. Particularly when I get to jump in afterward for sloppy seconds ;). Love having @dragonafterdark.bsky.social coating my length and the inside of my husband 💦. Two nice pullouts in one here~
