We're heading away so I'll miss any developments. But after a couple hours of quiet, when we left we could see the rain cover had collapsed. Again. Like they hadn't spent hours staking it. I don't know how that's possible.

And a church person has come out. Silencio. So, my head canon: he booked a camping holiday. Last night she was livid that it was behind a church rather than a campsite. They didn't fit the rain cover because they didn't know heavy rain was due, so the tent floods/leaks overnight.

Blaming James & unintelligible yelling until a "stop fucking shouting". Sure enough, Tent Couple are laying into each other as they wrestle with the tent. Hidden from view comes "how am I gonna hit you or harm you" from the lady, before the man follows her into the tent. They're still arguing.

Wake up today, windows open as per, & I hear the same voices kicking off again. Look outside, can't see anyone. Tent's still up. I'll sit down. "This was your fucking idea James" floats into the lounge. Back to the window, & the only people outside are a couple fussing with the tent. Sit back down.

It's a dark 8pm, we have a yellow rain warning incoming. Over a couple of hours, there's this on and off fight I can't see between a man & a woman. Then the downpour comes and drowns the sound out. We have some local um characters, so randos yelling isn't weird here.

Yesterday, we notice a 7 person tent deep in the walled corner of the church's green space. There's plenty local charity drives rn, could be someone's rough night, could be the church rents out as a camping ground - either way, didn't really think anything about it.

Feeling feelings still a challenge, however. There's been coming up to a 24 hour argument nearby that I've realised has been coming from...a tent. In the back garden of a church. This whole time. Today's installation: arguing while fitting a rain sheet after the overnight downpour. I'm sat 🍿

So I just want to use this as a small psa to get in touch with someone you haven't seen or spoken to in a while. Even if it's been years. Check phone numbers are still live, emails, even discarded profiles for missed dms. It's worth it.
