What R'Ruttenberg said. Proud to be among the signatories and hoping to see many thousands more Jews sign this statement. Ethnic cleansing makes no one safer, and I as a Jew I do not want this done in my name or for my "benefit." saynotoethniccleansing.org #SayNoToEthnicCleansing #Gazaisnotforsale

David Lammy should be drawing serious red lines, rather than rolling out the red carpet for Wang Yi's visit this week. DID YOU KNOW: Hong Kongers continue to face repression by Hong Kong and Chinese authorities - even if they live in the UK. www.lbc.co.uk/opinion/view...

I’ve just finished watching the last musician of Auschwitz on BBC iPlayer. It took me three days to watch but it was so striking as a musician and a mother. Very sad and also inspiring to hear the music of resistance, protest and testimony of what happened. Watch if you haven’t yet. Z”L”

I remain opposed to a new runway at Heathrow airport because of the severe impact it will have on noise, air pollution and meeting our climate change targets.

Today, we commemorate the 80th anniversary of the liberation of Auschwitz and the victims of the Shoah, together with the Roma and Sinti, Queer, disabled, and political victims of the Nazi genocide. We also commemorate the victims and survivors of historic and ongoing genocides everywhere.

The Holocaust was one of the darkest times in history and teaches us what can happen when hatred is left unchecked. That’s why it is imperative that people continue to learn about the appalling events which took place at Auschwitz-Birkenau and other concentration camps.

I visited the site of the Krakow ghetto to pay my respects to the Jewish people who were persecuted here or deported to surrounding concentration camps under Nazi occupation. The memorial is a powerful and deeply moving reminder of one of the darkest chapters of human history.
