Christianity has been a tool of oppressive government since Constantine. Still is. The church won’t denounce adultery, sexual assault, child molesting, theft, grift, abusing the poor, hungry, sick, immigrants… So the regime no longer notices - let alone investigates - church crimes.

I had spent years being really messed up. I worked hard to get ready to start HRT - no therapy, lots of shadow work and growth. I really would not have been ready to transition any sooner.

Two years after I started HRT I saw a psychiatrist for a letter for orchi. She spent nearly four hours with me. She said I was one of the most balanced, clear, self-aware people she had ever worked with. She added I did not need any ongoing therapy.

A couple of years ago I added ideas from “Sigil Witchery” by Laura Tempest Zakroff. I like her approach, it is less formal and more intuitive than Cooper, and utilizes basic magical shapes and symbols found in cultures around the world from the early cave paintings to modern times.

Way way back when I was first learning magic I bought a copy of Phillip Cooper’s “Basic Magick.” He leaned heavily into sigils, so that was foundational to me. I use sigils and icons and vision boards as part of my regular practice.

Christian priests under whatever title have always been willing to force silence and conformity, regularly resorting to violence. Currently, the animus is focused on queers and brown people of color and the disabled. Soon enough they’ll turn their attention to anyone deemed heretical.

Christianity has long been a hammer beating people into submission, compliance, and conformity. It is the perfect tool for oppressive government. Some Christians express something akin to Christ’s teachings. They are opposed and silenced by the oppressors. Compassion and love are not permitted.
