Something will kill us anyway so you might as well have a little enjoyment. A pic of my guy's mini hot house to protect my remaining kale plant. Top has plastic cover over it tonight lol

This is my kale plant that survived last winter with a broken down plastic cover. The new improved version after we have had 3 frosts already but it has been partially protected by pine trees. Should be able to keep harvesting till late Dec or Jan. It might survive till next year.🤞🤞

Have a wonderful Thanksgiving Shirley - I too and so grateful for our life even though it is getting harder. My freezer is also stocked with bounty from my garden and that of our local farmers. We cannot survive without them. We are far from perfect but we do keep trying to get better.

This weekend is Canadian Thanksgiving, or as we call it in Canada, Thanksgiving. This year has been hard on us. Personally for many of us. Politically for almost all of us. But there are many things for Canadians. to be thankful for. Universal healthcare. A sane PM. Diversity. Stability.

You have no real news stations in amurika. You have to get real news from other countries, Bluesky, substack etc

Burning Bushes putting on a last display. The holly bush has lots of berries this fall unlike last year when it had none due to the two year drought

My original Canadian celery base is growing nicely and now it is joined by another currently rooting in water. This window will get a nice bit of sun over the winter so hopefully we will have Canadian celery all winter long. Take that Sobeys and Stupidstore

No I really do not think Carney is in line for the Nobel. He is doing great work but there are others truly doing more for peace.

Yup - it was always true. Greed and money has always been the driving force behind everything they have done world wide.

To all my fellow Canadians I wish you a Happy Thanksgiving weekend. May your homes be warm & may you have enough food to eat & enjoy with friends and family or just yourselves. I am grateful to live in my country & able help so many who are less fortunate than us right now. Don't forget the pets

To be fair - if you studied Carney at all you would know he is a old style conservative. I voted for him knowing that because peepee was never an option. Hopefully the NDP will begin a comeback even though I heartily dislike the current leader. My vote in 3 or 4 years depends on many things

Yes it is fall here in Nova Scotia. Now I must go clean and refill the bird bath and put more food out for the crows under their favourite maple tree - not this one. Keeps them happy and away from the feeders for smaller birds

Could not have said it better. Sadly this will just be the first of many government executions publicaly aired. The murders of the ICE victims have been shown in videos taken by horror stricken bystanders. I saw the video of the Alex Pretti murder and I am still in shock by what I saw.
