Do NOT believe the misinfo going around There absolutely have been MASSIVE TOS updates Most notably: 1) Specifying no FICTIONAL noncon 2) No "dangerous" kink 3) No DISCUSSING self harm, suicide, or substance abuse unless its "educational" So what can we DO about it? #SaveSpeech 1/🧵

Multiple cropped screenshots showing portions of the bsky TOS before and now. Before: "iv. Encouraging self-harm or suicide
v. Depictions of excessive violence, gore, torture, dismemberment, or non-consensual sexual activity". Now: "ii. We do not allow sexual content involving non-consensual activity including synthetic, simulated, illustrated, or animated versions. iv. Do not create, share, or promote sexual content involving realistic risk of death or serious injury. i. Do not share content, methods, instructions, or promotion of self-harm, suicide, eating disorders, and extreme dieting practices.
ii. Do not share methods, instructions, depictions, or promotion of dangerous stunts or abuse of dangerous or controlled substances. 5. Protected Expression
B. Support, Recovery, and Mental Health:
i. Personal recovery experiences or survivor stories shared to promote healing and community support rather than encouraging harmful behavior.
ii. Sharing verified mental health resources, crisis prevention".

No, not really. Honestly, I just eat whatever sounds good. I don't go out of my way to figure out if anything inspires creativity."

like somnophilia can appear non-consensual, but it is. BDSM, force feeding kinks can all appear non-consensual in fictional drawings. drawings are not real. ***proper tagging*** needs to be enforced, **not censoring!!** the blackout won't help because it just is self-censorship.

🔞 plumpkin🔞 active era 🥴 @ladyplumpkin.bsky.social · 21/09/2025

it's about bsky's new adult content guidelines. the problem is that CNC is a common kink that simulates non-con but is consensual and in *fictional content*, you can arbitrarily claim there's no consent because "it doesnt look consensual".. that's too slippery a slope. bsky.social/about/suppor...

Adult Content: We provide a safe space for consensual adult expression by requiring clear consent and stopping abuse.

We allow consensual adult sexual content, including fictional depictions, when appropriately labeled and subject to appropriate age restrictions.
We do not allow sexual content involving non-consensual activity including synthetic, simulated, illustrated, or animated versions.
Do not share, threaten to share, or promote tools to create intimate images or sexual content of any individual without their express consent, including synthetic or digitally altered content.
Do not create, share, or promote sexual content involving realistic risk of death or serious injury.
Do not engage in technology-facilitated abuse, harassment, or unwanted advances.

You cannot judge a fictional character's level of consent because they are fake and cannot give consent.. Drawings are not real!!

i altered submitted my own feedback using your post as a template. do not do a blackout!! it counts as censoring yourself and is only showing bsky that we concede and will give in to silence!!

Hello Bluesky team,
I loved this site and the feeling of community, it has been a great safe haven after so many other places like Tumblr and Twitter have pushed us
away.
Unfortunately, with recent policy changes regarding the banning of some NSFW content, I'm afraid Bluesky is headed down the same path.
A ton of users, including myself, believe your recent policy changes about fictional content is ridiculous and unfair. You cannot, in good faith, judge a fictional character's level of consent because fictional characters are fake and cannot give consent. Drawings are not real!
We want to be heard, but we have been deliberately ignored when we gave feedback.
Please. Don't censor us. We're censored enough.
