Seconding this! I've been in the fandom for a decade now, I've seen all of the great artists who were told to keep their prices low no longer make art/fursuits anymore. Telling artists to keep their prices low is the same as telling them you don't want them to be making art for long.

Pro tip: you don’t have to comm artists to boost and support them. People claim they can’t support artists and creators because they are financially strapped, but they can still boost posts, comment, like, and in general just be supportive! It’s completely free outside of an internet connection ;)

Not to mention the lack of any spare income means I can't take the time to experiment with anything artistically or trying out new techniques, as every minute I need to be working on a commission or I feel guilty/in danger. I'm in my 30's, and unless something drastic happens financially for me, I don't know how much longer I can afford to be a full time artist, which is incredibly depressing. I'm trying my darndest but I'm finding it impossible to start an independent life with what I'm currently earning.
