All this Bioware stuff is absolutely heartbreaking. They were dealt a rubbish hand and did the best they could with it...but it was never going to be enough. Set up to fail. DAV was an enjoyable game but vs DAI it just show how much the overreach by EA fucked them.

I managed to get over my second-hand embarrassment during my Words of Radiance re-read. I am now approx 70% of the way through the book. Just another 150 hours to go until I reach the end of the first half of Stormlight. #Stormlight

Me whenever I read anything about Musk.

A woman, standing at the top of a staircase, delivers a soul-crushing roast to an unseen victim below, saying, "You are a pathetic little man." Her expression radiates the energy of someone who's seen enough nonsense for one lifetime.

Comic panel from Heartstopper by Alice Oseman.

My understanding is that if it was greenlit for S4 it would indicate that scripts were ready....but we know they arent as the source material hasnt been completed yet. i imagine we have about 6 months before we hear anything (probably in line with Pride tbh)

If people leave that is their choice. I am more interested in those that choose to stay and challenge anything they see Those with disagreeing opinions are not worried about raising them and working with us If folks choose to leave then they were not likely to work with us on improvements

A thought that hasn't left my mind for a while now: Did we all watch all the same WW2 movies because there was clearly an enemy and it seems a lot of people's idea of the bad guy did not allign with the actual villains but instead they were...idolizing them?

I suppose that depends on your definition of cesspool then. Most people seem to agree that for its size its a safe space to be where folks have a variety of different opinions and are able to express them. So long as in their manner of expressing them they are being horrific. Each to their own.

...thanks? Any constructive feedback you could provide on that would be appreciated. As I am a mod in that space and a general 'it's a cesspool' doesn't help. Most folks seem to find it better than other places and well moderated. So happy to take feedback on board :)

Unfortunately the internet is what it is and those he went after on other discord servers, instagram and threads - I cannot stop what I am not part of If you want to reach out to discuss this - that is fine I am just supremely disgusted that this individual thought he could reinvent himself /10

Nicola Payne @ladynico.bsky.social · 23/01/2025

In total: He harassed and stalked 16 women from July 2022 to June 2023. There are more out there. These were those that were spoken with and provided evidence in the 2 weeks I spent on it. We know from word of mouth that from June 2023 to present there have been more. I am sorry. /9

and a timeline. We then shared this with every large discord that we knew of (as we knew he was using them for victims) and shared with those we knew on Twitter to get as many potential victims from him as possible. But in the age of the internet our hands were tied on how to hold him account. /8

It is only when another shines a light on it and says 'you were not the only one' or 'yes that is weird I agree' that you stop questioning yourself You stop saying 'well, I thought he was just weird a little ND'. And instead think 'I was being stalked' Over the course of June 2023 we got info /7

With the support of the likes of @timbolton.bsky.social and others who will remain nameless, I began to collect this information We began to speak to more and more women who kept his actions to themselves. Dismissed them even As women, we are taught to self-gaslight to a degree Brush it off /6

who is also a member of that server That means you may have access to Twitter/Reddit/Facebook/Spotify details of people you see in that sphere. For an aspiring stalker - its prime hunting ground. His targets? Female presenting members of the Tolkien fandom. So we had to gather info fast /5

Nicola Payne @ladynico.bsky.social · 23/01/2025

But the part that was a personal concern to us at the time was that he had immediate access to the thousands of people on the TORn Discord server. Why is this a problem? By being a member of this server, you in general have access to everyone /4
