The narrative around him is weird for sure. When the incident was first reported, ppl were relieved that supposedly he 'was defending his mom' but it seems to me there is a bit more to the story here. It could be nothing but we'll see.

I think if he has real character flaws, it'll prob be the main reason why he'd drop to 3rd imo. Sedins/RJ are saying they want character guys and are doing thorough background checks. So I don't see them taking him if there's a good chance he's going to be a problem on or off the ice.

You're right but Wild gave up good assets to get Q for their 'win now' vision. It's not like they gave up nothing for him, even tho everyone knew he wasn't re-signing here. Like u said, teams have different reasons to trade for their needs. I'm def interested in how SJS builds a team around MC

Haven't watched a whole game, but a few periods over time of SJS. MC is the real deal. They so lucky to have him. Is Q the right dman for them tho to make 'em a contender? They have no prob generating offence and Q is better at O than D. It's only game 2 but Avs handled him quite well last night

Legit question, when do you think SJS will be actual cup contenders? They didn't make the playoffs in the pillow fight Pacific division this season after a hot start, which surprised me a little. Is their d-core promising? I genuinely don't know bc i haven't watched a lot of SJS hockey.

Feelin' alright today. Prior to the lottery, I felt good until ppl started freaking out about Dorion, it felt like a disturbance in the Force 😂 It's mostly disappointing bc of the undeserving team who got it. I hope we move away from the "it's so Canucks" mantra to "Reverse the Curse" lol

they may give him one more chance with the understanding he play the young kids & help develop them. There's no pressure to win now, priority is to get the best out of all the prospects, not just the D. Prob gets a short leash, maybe until US Thanksgiving. Drama has left so no more excuses.

This is what I feel the org may be thinking (not what I want): they clearly like him & may feel he didn't get a fair shake at a normal season bc of all the drama (tons of injuries early on, maga vs non maga locker room, Quit not wanting to stay etc)

One positive I see is that if 1st didn't go to the #Canucks, it didn't go to another division rival, but out east. Too many superstars in the Pacific division to contend with (established and in-the-making). Too bad it's the Leafs tho 🙄 prob the most undeserving. NHL looks stupid and unserious imo

Last year there was a damning USA Today article on the Dallas Stars about how they monopolize Texas youth hockey. Shady stuff. Not mad they lost. Imo, non maga Minnesota hockey fans deserved a win esp bc of the trauma that state went thru at the hands of their own federal govt. That said, GO AVS!
