Photograph of two Sakura Kusudama. The one of the left is mostly pink and the one on the right is turquoise, but the iridescent paper attached to the inside of the petals give it a purple shine from most angles. They are both folded using paper with astrological themed paper (I used the left overs for the background of this photo) with iridescent paper attached to the inside of each petal. They also have beads and a tassel to give a more elegant look.

Artist, show how you draw flowers!

A drawing of a chrysanthemum done with dipping pen and ink on paper. Contrast between dark and light is all done by linework. There are two leafs that are poking out from behind the flower, and they have very light linework to create a contrast between the flower and the background that is all vertical lines.

They can now launch rockets into space that carry satellites from Norway! Congratulations to ISAR Aerospace and everyone who was involved, especially to the students from NTNU! I hope I can see a launch once!

The butterfly is painted in a realistic style with the use of a small brush to get a very detailed look. The background was done on the paper while its wet, to get a watercolour flowy look. I used red and some white acrylic ink on the background.

The roof has levels to it, the first level has the head of a dragon at the end, so does the second step of the roof. At the top, there is an ornamental tower with a cross and a weather hane. The drawing is all done with dipping pens, Indian Ink and a pentel brush pen. The tools I used are layed at the top left of the image.

I FINALLY finished the Stave Church drawing. All done with 005 drawing pen, Pentel brush pen and Indian ink. This is Hopperstad Stave Church, located in Vik, Norway. They think it was built around 1130. #traditionaldrawing #NOAI

Thank you to all who has been following the Artist Started Packs lately! I am working on some art, but not anything ready to post. So you get my Living room cabinet project instead:

Two images that have been spliced together. The image on the left has "Before" written at the top, and an old cabinet under it. The wood seems to be pine and it has been stained with a warm brown. The image on the right has "After" written at the top and now the cabinet has been painted in a warm white. The name of the new colour is "Kongeøsters" FR1383. I have also put some knick knacks, trinkets and books on it. A very fun furniture upcycling project.

Yesterday, I got back home from a fantastic trip though Vik, Jølster, Fjærland and Ålesund. Now I want to draw and paint everything I saw, in Art Nouveau...

And then the final and bottom part of the roof to the bottom left ending with another craved dragon.

The flower is white, with purple edges. I am not sure about the name of this flower, but you can find it in the gardens of Astrup Tunet in Jølster, Norway.

Photograph taken at the Jugendstilsenteret (an Art Nouveau Center) in Ålesund. It depicts a beautiful lamp made from bronze. It is shaped to look like a woman (maybe even a fairy) that is bending a stem around her. The stem has leaves and 4 flowers, and there is a light-bulb in the centre of the flowers. Its is soft and flowy and very much in the Art Nouveau style.

Today, we left Jølster, after stopping by the Astrup center. Arrived i Ålesund this afternoon after a stunning drive.

Some snapshots I made using my phone yesterday as we drove from Bergen to Vik and then to Jølster over the Gaular mountain. Yes thats a stave church. Yes it was scary driving the bendy road i the thick fog.

Yesterday, over a 100 homes burned down in Drammen, Norway. Luckily, only 3 people have sustained mild injury. But man, the images from the fire is harrowing.

Photo by Alexander Janson / Drammen LIVE 24. Its depicts some row houses that have been saved from the fire, butt in the back, there is only rubble and at least 9 chimneys left. There is still thick smoke in the air. And a few flames still sticking up.

The first and probably last World Cup related meme I have ever made.

A silly sketch I did that depict three patrons sitting at a bar and a bartender is asking: "Where's Norway?" The journey continues with the old frame and sun damaged Zorn-print. I added a acrylic colour first layer and today I did the first layer of oils^_^

Also, if anyone knows what these ornaments are made of? As you can see in the photos below, a bit of the bottom has been knocked of at some point and so shows the material thats under the paint.

Ok so I bought this framed print at a thrift store. And I might need some help, because I want to paint something else over the print. But hiw do I go about it? Do I remove the print? How do I clean and prepare the frame for paint? Any tips are appreciated!

Ever since I started to make Origami, I have had trouble showing them both at home and at fairs. So when I found the perfect materials at a hardware store, I just bought them. A few days later, one cut finger and hours of work, the Origami Rack is done! #handmade #humanmade

The top rod is thicker then the 3 others. Its has been painted white.

Chrysanthemums is is both very rewarding and frustrating to draw, so having good reference photos can really help. Especially since I discovered that I can merge several photos to get a result where the whole flower can in focus even though I had to shoot it with a macro lens. #referencephoto
