Practicing my offset timing. The Chatacabra is really good for this as its moves are super telegraphed. Now I just need to test against tougher monsters as I move through HR. #MonsterHunter #MonsterHunterWilds #InsectGlaive

Since I can no longer be the master of the skies with this version of the Insect Glaive, I have begun devoting myself to figuring out the offset attack timing. It's taking a bit but I think I've got the right idea so far! #monsterhunter #monsterhunterwilds #insectglaive

When they threw yet another spider monster at me, I didn’t wasn’t anytime and just tried to give it the business end of my Glaive asap! Straight belt to thorax! #MonsterHunter #MonsterHunterWilds

RATH-A-LOS! Finally got to take on one of my favourites! Rathalos is one of the few monsters where I feel like I know its move set pretty well, just because I enjoy fighting it so much. Why is this one glowing?? What are they doing to the monsters? #MonsterHunter #MonsterHunterWilds #InsectGlaive

Not even an hour in and they have me fighting a giant Spider!!! Noooooo!!!! Not again!!!! At least I took it down with the fancy swirly move I didn’t know I had. And its armour set is gorgeous!

Started Monster Hunter wilds! I feel like a brick moving through molasses after coming off of Sunbreak lol! I miss my wirebug! But I am digging this title already!

First Malzeno Slay! This was such an awesome monster! The teleporting into smoke/mist was so cool! Loved that you could see all the vampiric inspirations! Now to farm it for that amazing armour set!! #MonsterHunter #MonsterHunterRise #MonsterHunterRiseSunbreak #Malzeno

Okay I'm finally over my fear of this Spider monster-AAHHHHHHH!!!! I legitimately jumped, I knew it could throw those little spiders around but did it have to be directly at my screen?!!!!!!! #MonsterHunter #MonsterHunterRise #MonsterHunterRiseSunbreak

"Why do you like insect glaive so much?" Because I jump, then I chop!!! Been making my way through monster hunter rise, and have just landed on the Sunbreak DLC. I know this entry was not received well when it came out but I'm loving it so far. #monsterHunter #monsterhunterrise #insectglaive

POE2 is the real test of my new PC, but even with my old Witch build that nearly melted my old gear, it ran amazing! Can’t wait to do more builds that have way more effects going on screen now! #poe2 #poe

Playing Diablo 4 with max settings on the new PC and it feels great! Diablo already ran pretty well on my old gear but still this is much better!

This new Gundam shelf was a bit pricey but I think it was worth it!

PC case with a glass side that reveals the internals, with a RX-78-2 master grade gundam posed inside the case.

I knew RAM had gone out of control in price but I didn’t realise SSD’s had too! I was going to get a second SSD of one I bought a couple months ago and it’s jumped up to $400???? That’s crazy!!! I truly hate AI

Wanted to try something out. I wanted to try a sword slicing effect. Lots of struggles with this, and I'm not too happy with the result. But l'm happy I gave it a go. Lots of learning done and I'm definitely going to attempt this again one day. #warhammer #hobby #minipainting #diorama #beginner

I made my way back to playing Nioh 3. And picked up sword of meditation and finally beat this bastard of a boss!

Forever chasing a golden goose. Then killing said goose with poor leadership and poor understanding. Not to mention, the tech needed to play these games is getting more expensive each day so people really don’t want to pay for just one game for the rest of their life.

000

Joshua @ladybugs.bsky.social · 26/06/2026

There were lots of problems that contributed to this. I stopped playing after The Final Shape due a laundry list of reasons that were related to bugs, cost and time. That being said it’s still incredibly sad to see this happen. I hope all the employees who are displaced find new creative homes.

Joshua @ladybugs.bsky.social · 26/06/2026

I can’t believe the ram that I bought at $70 (which I thought was rich at the time) is now apparently worth $400-$600 from the same seller on eBay??

Joshua @ladybugs.bsky.social · 10/06/2026

Since Destiny 2 is done with active development. I am sad they never brought back a way to earn Sagiras ghost shell. I am hoping to pull the ladybug ghost shell through the focused bright engram decryption though!

I was legitimately surprised as many people turned up on Destiny, I got booted several times because the servers were overloaded. It was the first time I was happy to get error coded!

I’ve been struggling with airbrushing from the start. I thought I was doing everything right with thinning, disassembling and cleaning, trigger control, tip dry, etc. and it just wasn’t doing what I wanted. Then my dad suggested the airbrush was just terrible.

This is now one of my comfort re-reads! Absolute 5/5! If you love reading stories about the overwhelming goodness found in people (regardless of their place of origin) and getting into some nerdy science, this is the book for you. #booksky #books #bookish #projecthailmary #reader

I didn’t realise another legends and lattes book was released! When I found out I got it immediately! Love these books so much! Only just started it and I’m already enjoying Brigands and Breadknives so much!

I played this fight like a wuss but I don’t care, finally got the damn dude and i’ll never re-attempt the fight. It served me my damn lunch a million times and I refused to move on until I beat it.

I’ve been wanting to play through the Nioh games for a while and the 3rds release was good motivation. After playing the first two back to back all I can say is I’m blown away by the whole experience The ending of Nioh 2 is sitting heavy with me right now. And it’s brought a genuine smile to my face

Remade it in c++! A fun challenge! I have an idea for the next thing I want to make! I’m going to get started on planning out the design for it instead of winging as I go like infinity this one

Joshua @ladybugs.bsky.social · 16/01/2026

I’m also now going to make the exact same app but in C++ because I have touched the language in years and would like to remember it.

000

Joshua @ladybugs.bsky.social · 15/01/2026

Made myself a desktop app! If I’ll ever use it is a mystery but it was a good goal to try out my coding knowledge (as an object oriented coder and bash scripter this was a big change for me lol) might put it on my GitHub later

Witch build is feeling fantastic, breezing through the campaign. Damage isn’t as explosive as my Druid build but it is more consistent, it’ll be amazing at mapping (not so much for bosses) #poe2 #pathofexile #witch #witchbuild

What a disgusting and cruel thing for the Bondi community there to go through. Amazing work by the man at disarming one of the gunmen. And I’m glad to see that the rhetoric of blaming our Muslim citizens is being pushed back by everyone I’ve talked to today.
