I will be posting CFF stuff after it's all over but while I was there, Iota's inner helmet system came off. It was epoxy'ed in by 2 points. It fell out when I picked him up to brush out when I got home. I don't know a stronger hold but that is a problem for later. He is still wearable without it.

Haven't drawn in so long. I'm trying to find a pen tool I like and I think I found it. Something about it's rough wigglyness and whatever is going on with my style with this tool does something for me. These are just practice doodles so about 10 mins each. Today's the day! My heart ablation is not until 9:30 so now I get to sit and wait. The worst part is the clear diet yesterday and not food or drink today. Just looking at food pisses me off atp. #health

So I'm having a heart ablation for my afib soon and while I'm taking it seriously, I found the best news in my prep notes from the medical staff. I am free for 24 hours. Finally permission to be head empty. "I have a doctor's note to be indecisive"

My QCAC experience: 1. Amazing fur meet. A good amount showed up and they were all lovely. I would love to host one next year too and at all local cons tbh 2. There was AI art and stolen art being sold. Really hate that 3. Con is NOT dead after 12am for better or for worse Aside from #2, not bad

Got my new shirts from @nomadcomplex.com They look and feel amazing! They are really long though. As a 5'4 person, a 2xl goes past my finger tips. I like loose shirts so I always go bigger in size but I'm still short. Regardless, I love em! I also got stickers freebies! #furry

Iota got some upgrades! Magnets reattached! New helmet straps for the inside. The head would stay in place when I turned my head so now improved mobility! My partner gave me small traffic cones since Iota is bright orange with big cone like ears so I put magnets in two of them. #fursuit #protogen

I really want to get back to making again. I enjoyed my break after 6 months of making Iota but I'm ready to work. Maybe not every day though since I don't have a deadline now. I love when scaps get used. There is a LOT of waste with fursuit making and it doesn't feel all that good. I try to save any big pieces but they rarely get used which then just takes up space in my very limited storage. It's a struggle. #fursuitmaking

Finally making good progress on the legs and feet. Had to do some prototyping since I'm using a pattern and I'm a bigger then the maker of said pattern. I'm going to make the right foot and finish the feet 1st. Then if I have time before #bewhiskered I'll finish the legs. #wip #fursuit

Working on paws. I really like the finger claws? Protogens are drawn with so I wanted mine to look the same. I tried to sew it but it was too puffy looking so now I'm trying 3d printed claws which have their own set of problems. Paint->seal->glue->stuff?->sew->shave ->repeat 2nd for hand if it works

Just finished(?) my arm sleeves. Need a few more zig zag stitches on the elastic but I'm hand sewing so I'm starting to develop a repetitive strain injury in my dominant hand. I'll be taking a sewing break until mid January after this but I really just want to get them done done. #fursuit

Remember, you don't need to be a master artist to make a reference sheet. I'm not in a location to focus on a professional ref but I need to draw. when I was working on Iota's head, I only had sticky notes of body parts. Just draw. Anything is better than nothing. I'm so close to being done. I had it all glued to the head and realized I hated how the fur sat on my neck and shoulders. After walking away and coming back the next morning, I figured out that there was too much fur. Some time you need to look away for it to click with fresh eyes #wip #protogen

I ordered from You Toonz for the 1st time and honestly I'm really disappointed in the packaging. No padding, the bag wasn't sealed to avoid moisture, weak tape. It's shipped from China and no one thought that the ride might get bumpy? This is for a friend and I hope they don't mind the box #youtoonz

PSA: when dealing with faux fur, especially when cutting, WEAR A MASK!!!! All of those tiny synthetic fibers are inhaleable and be harmful. And yes I actually did wear a mask. I'm really bad about safe art making but I really am getting too old for that. #fursuitmaking
