I really haven't been able to visit mom because of this painful cold, considering she's still in the ICU and I don't want to complicate her condition further with my own aura of sickness, but at least my older brother flew back here to take my place in visiting her

October's my birth month and also my favorite month of the year but honestly haven't really found much joy for spooky season this time around. Between my mom getting hospitalized last week and still being there, and getting ungodly sick myself, the start of the month is.. painful

Not a good time to wake up with a developing cold. I need to visit mom today at the hospital but sht why'd it have to be my turn to catch something Mom's very very slowly recovering as of yesterday at least, and f all goes well, she'll be back at a regular patients room.

Back at the ICU and moms awake and conscious with minimal jerky movements now. She's still hooked up with tubes and can't speak yet but was able to respond with nodding. Not sure how longer she'll have to stay here, though. Nurses still need to monitor her. Still, thank fk...

Finally visiting hours at the ICU and here in mom's room. It's so scary seeing my mom all connected with tubes right now, and the sterility of the room makes it all feel surreal. It's all so clean except for my mom in the middle. it's like I'm in a liminal nightmare...

Huge depressive crash. Promised myself to lock in this week but one irl event really reversed my momentum hard and I'm back at step -1 Not sure how long I'll need to recover, but hopefully in time for BOF stuff. I'll be okay, but all my energy for anything was sapped dry.

I laid down the bones for a song in a day without using a reference track for a guide. I don't know how that happened but I think my workflow is finally, slowly improving... Hopefully 😭 It's only around 2m30s, but if I can just stay consistent, maybe I can hit 6mins one day 🥺
