Today at 2:25 pm, #LACoFD FFs responded to a mutual aid request from the @lahabraheights_fd for the Palos brush fire. The fire burned 17 acres & is 41% contained. 2 homes were destroyed & 2 outbuildings damaged. 1 FF & 1 civilian sustained minor injuries. The cause is under investigation.

Today marks the solemn 25th anniversary of the 9/11 terrorist attacks. Nearly 3,000 innocent lives were taken at the World Trade Center, the Pentagon & on Flight 93. Among them were 343 firefighters & 71 law enforcement officers who made the ultimate sacrifice to save others. We will never forget.

Today, we honor the 17-year anniversary of the line-of-duty deaths of #LACoFD Captain Ted Hall & FFS Arnie Quinones. On this day in 2009, they made the ultimate sacrifice protecting their crew at Camp 16 during the Station Fire. We shall never forget these heroes & their sacrifice. 🕊️🚒 #NeverForget

On this 33rd anniversary of the #GlenAllenFire, we remember #LACoFD Crew 2-2, who were burned over in the Altadena foothills tragically taking the lives of FSAs Herman & Ruezga, & injuring FFs Larios & Barth. The courage & sacrifice of FSAs Ruezga & Herman will never be forgotten.

1/2 #PalmIC Today at approx 3:12 am., #LACoFD FFs responded to a major water main break at N Palm Ave & W Harrat St in #WeHo. FFs found severe flooding, w/fast-moving water rushing down streets & swamping parked cars, apartment complexes & garages, & opening a sinkhole near the Sunset Strip.
