I also find it excellent for research & focused deep writing. Writing about these two paintings recently, I “hung” them in my bedroom with a keyboard on my lap & Obsidian in the center, with a map on the side & private music without headphones. Top tier setup, no distractions.

Stopped by Shopify’s “shop local” NYC popup & realized everything on my body today went through Shopify: Rains & Baggu bags, Meller sunglasses, Phluid shirt, Outdoor Voices pants, Allbirds shoes, down to TomboyX underwear, socks. To shop outside big box & Amazon, they’re impressively inescapable

🦋 As a prolific liker & lacking bookmarks, it’s hard to find past Bsky likes. I made an infinite canvas search tool for all my likes, auto-positioned by similarity, using OpenAI embeddings (can search for related keywords; none of these posts say “pet”) & with media/link filters for visual browsing

Apple is claiming the new Mac mini is the first carbon neutral Mac. Fascinating that the majority of the carbon footprint reduction came from clean power, across manufacturing & product use. I expect these clean power investments are profitable, plus the marketing drives sales

So so excited to re-join Watershed as Design Engineering Lead after I graduate next spring!! I had a blast piloting the role this summer 💙 I started in Feb ‘21, when we were a dozen people on Zoom. Today, it’s ~400 across 4 offices managing a gigaton of CO2, yet just beginning!
