Two years to go until the LA28 Paralympic Games! ♿🏀💜 We were proud to be part of today’s celebration at the historic site of the first official wheelchair basketball game. We were also excited to celebrate alongside Paralympians and wheelchair basketball champions Steve Serio and Jorge Salazar! 🏅

July is Disability Pride Month and this year marks the 36th anniversary of the Americans with Disabilities Act! The City of Los Angeles is proud to support this important civil rights law that protects people with disabilities from discrimination in jobs, schools, transportation, and public places.

The City of Los Angeles Commission on Disability is proud to announce Marcia Jean Gayle as the inaugural recipient of the Betty Wilson Humanitarian Award of Excellence. Marcia was a community leader whose work helped advance disability awareness, accessibility, and inclusion throughout Los Angeles.
