For yesterday's #RandomGameSaturday (sorry I'm french, I was protesting) Frontier Elite II I had a copied but non-cracked Amiga version so I couldn't go very far. I saw the PC box in a shop in my random little town and bought it. I have no idea why I'm missing the short stories booklet.

I missed last #RandomGameSaturday This is l'Arche du Capitaine Blood. I had it on Amstrad and couldn't make head or tail of it. Now that I have my Amiga again I thought I'd play it as an adult but what I can see online about it isn't encouraging.

#RandomGameSaturday Waxworks! Horror on about 1000 disks. I just opened the box after 25 years and it still has the walkthrough someone printed for me on the internet all these years ago. As well as a copy I made of disk 1 because sometimes it would fail and swapping it with the copy would help.

For my first #RandomGameSaturday here's the worm box edition of Cryo's Dune. It's the PC talkie version, which I got a long time ago because it looked cool ; but my heart is with the Amiga version that I had on copied floppies. The midi soundtrack is not terrible terrible but... Amiga music forever.

I had the Nesquick one on Amiga, and just discovered there was also a Kellogg's one where you can play different mascots with different abilities.

Bought this module from someone online, she was so close I was able to pick it up on my way to somewhere else instead of having it shipped. Expedition to the Barrier Peaks, an ad&d module with science fiction elements. I got it because of its thematic proximity to Gamma World, one of my obsessions.

When recently asked about her transphobic comment from the 00s, Diane DiMassa gave more context. I'm glad to see she's not a bad person after all.

You know. I was never interested in going there. and the time I went I only went because my friend Animal Prufrock put on that musical. I was interviewed right before it was performed, and was asked about Daphne's gender and Michfest's pol- icy on trans women. I was very flip. I didn't know shit. I didn't know that a trans woman was askec to leave the festival in the '90s. That must have hu- miliated that poor woman to fucking death. I didn't know there was a "women-born women" policy stating that Michfest was for women who at birth were deemed female. There's language in there that just...I didn't even think there was a policy on trans women. Somebody told me that what it said was, "Michigan is a space for women-born women who have experienced what it's like to grow up female in our patriarchal society." I was overwhelmed and 1 said, "It's just fucking typical that a man-born lesbian can't get the concept of not being allowed some- where." Which was just boneheaded and ignorant. So I think the trans women who were hurt were saying, "You're saying we aren't really female because we didn't grow up female," you know? I totally understand why that's offensive. If a trans woman presented as a man until she was however- old. but considered herself female inside the whole time, then she would have had her own challenges in society. It sucks to be misunderstood and invisible and treated like the gender that you don't feel like. I faced a lot of shit-"Are you a boy or girl?" It takes away your identity. It hurts, and it sucks when somebody says something that rankles up against that. It's hard enough to navigate your own identity within that stuff. Especially when I was young, there was no support. As I come to terms with my own how-l-present-in-the-world. .. don't even think about my gender until I leave my house, until I see how I'm reflected and how I'm treated Have you read Stone Butch Blues? I understand a lot more now than I did then.

RIP to John Blanche, renowned cover artist for the first album released by Emperor's Goatee, the famous band of Celestian Miriya (frontswoman and lead singer).

A mock cover of a fake heavy metal album. It reads EMPEROR'S GOATEE as the band's name and the name of the album is SISTERS IN BATTLE.

The art is a well-known illustration of a sister of battle by the late John Blanche.

I did this edit in another life, more than a decade ago on 4chan, as part of a community-led spoof of Warhammer named Brighthammer.
