Reading the replies to this, apparently I have not lived dangerously. My old-car experience has been disproportinately focused on Saabs and comparably beefy safety cells from elsewhere in Europe. The least safe car I've actually driven is probably my family's old 1990 Corolla.

When a used parking brake sensor for your car is $75, might as well just try to resurrect the malfunctioning one by soaking it in contact cleaner and manipulating it vigorously. Quite glad it worked.

The #weirdcarBS mentality is seriously considering a 20+ year old car from a defunct brand and likely needing a timing belt during the duration of ownership, rather than anything that has even a hope in hell of being covered under a warranty, whether factory or aftermarket.

Yeah their later GT2 attempts didn’t really bear fruit. On the subject of that 2006 though, talk about a failure of a facelift. The body kit and chin augmentation really robbed the car of its inherent sleekness.
