Here's the big announcement from last night, this year's donothon! Lets try and hit the goals to get more pretty artwork done, also something I forgor to add to the post is that all raids will also get a spin on the wheel of chaos! No timer this year, the event will end on October 31st!

I said DONT tempt meeeee I gotta go an hour away to get good/cheap sushi from my favorite place 😭😭 Konbinis (convenience stores) and grocery stores have good but repetitive options that I haven’t eaten in weeks… 🫠🫠 It’s always tuna, assorted fish, and non-fish options… need me some salmon…

So lesson maybe learned on my end But that still does not give the artist the right to hound their customers for repeat business Again, I understand that it’s difficult right now So despite my experience with this one artist So many others have been amazing Please support REAL Artists. People.

Whether I was interested now or would be in the near future to upgrade the model they made I eventually tried to make it clear I wasn’t interested and I unfriended them on discord Now Maybe that was my first mistake But months later they’re trying again I did not accept the request this time

100

Lotus Fang @l0tusf4ng.bsky.social · 12/09/2026

I would have loved to support them But I had already upgraded and was happier with the new artist’s work I simply let them know I was currently uninterested in upgrading They understood But a month later they reached out again And again And again Every week Asking about a timeframe

100

Lotus Fang @l0tusf4ng.bsky.social · 12/09/2026

I have been dealing with someone I commissioned in the past regarding one of my models I did not know much about how commissions worked at the time, so I settled with a model I was content with but have since upgraded with a different artist The original artist offered to upgrade the original

100

Lotus Fang @l0tusf4ng.bsky.social · 12/09/2026

I get it can be really hard to get new people to commission you, especially on not well known sites Like VGen or smth A lot of artists rely on repeat customers HOWEVER That does not give you the right to hound them I will not give up the name because I don’t want to hurt their reputation

100

Lotus Fang @l0tusf4ng.bsky.social · 12/09/2026

Okay I have to talk about this 2 of my best and oldest friends are artists I don’t dare to claim I’m an artist myself since I only dabble But they have done commissions for years, so I know how hard it can be Especially with generative ai coming out But that’s not what I want to talk about rn

Hell Cinderace and Charizard are both fire types Cinderace’s Pyro Ball did more damage I repeat: MORE DAMAGE Than Charizard’s Fire Blast Setting aside that the move is 120-110 with 90% accuracy It took TWO shots to take Charizard out FIRE TYPE MOVES ARE NOT EFFECTIVE (0.5x) AGAINST FIRE TYPES

Two applications in for two apartments. I have two that I reeeeeally want and have high hopes for. One of them is really big for a decent price, but a bit further out than the other candidates, and another one that’s central but decently sized Hopefully they get through soon so I can stream again!

7 years is still early in startup terms, especially if the product keeps growing. The 5M user mark is interesting too, since at that point the data and distribution become hard to ignore. Btw, let's connect and support each other!

growth as a measure feels off to me. i'm here for the beats, not the numbers. evera keeps evolving, but i'm still tweaking the sound design. let's keep building together - no metrics needed.

But once I’m in Japan, ik I’m gonna need a week at least to see apartments and finalize contracts and move in I’ll try to update as frequently as possible One I’m moved in, I’ll try to stream as much as possible, with my temp/laptop setup In January I’m gonna try to bring my US setup to in Japan

I gotta start packing soon and the move is stressing me out cause I gotta get an apartment and agents aren’t getting back to me about properties I’m going to try to stream when I can/feel up to it, but I can’t make schedules or guarantees atm

Lotus Fang @l0tusf4ng.bsky.social · 29/07/2026

Sorry for the lack of updates and communication lately. I’ve been hella busy and stressed out since I’m leaving for Japan again in a week. Between getting into contact with real estate agents, spending time with friends and family before I leave, and other tasks I’ve been too tired to stream 🥲
