The Boys Final Season (2026) Pretty good, and I enjoyed the final episode. Show's biggest weakness has been being too comfortable in the flow of doing random plans and adventures that uniformly don't work out so it lacks the urgency that the stakes of the last 2 seasons should have had.

Devil May Cry Season 2 (2026) An improvement over Season 1 as Lady is not nearly as intolerable but this still remains this weird bad monster mash of every DMC game aside from Nero stuff. Was still able to have fun as the animation and performances are still very very good on this.

My Hero Academia Vigilantes (Manga) Decided to read the rest post Season 2 and this was pretty great. Koichi’s final big fight and development was great. Pretty high on the final arc but like most fight manga I wish we had more time afterward for more conversations before closing out.

My Hero Academia: Vigilantes Season 2 (2026) Another great season. Despite calling back and giving context to the main series Vigilantes continues to be something that I feel like you can enjoy without seeing mainline MHA. Very poppy artstyle, great characters, fun smaller-scale stories.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles II: Secret of the Ooze (1991) Caught a theater showing for the 35th anniversary of this. Has me lamenting the lack of fun live action kids flicks in theaters nowadays. All killer no filler at 90 minutes. Fights are goofy fun, big screen experience is so so good.

Kuroko's Basketball: Last Game (2017) A film adaptation of the sequel miniseries that by the end feels like an essential ending to the whole story. The ending serves as this really satisfying and emotional punctuation for our main characters. And of course plenty of peak cinematic aura farming.

Kuroko's Basketball (2012-2015) Had a great time rewatching this from front to back. A bit slow at the start as they set up the major players, but Seasons 2 and 3 are immaculate. Great mix of sports anime with fantastical elements to keep things really hype.

Golden Kamuy (2014-2022) A mix of watching the adaptation and hopping on the manga for this one. Excellent piece of historical fiction. Balances teaching you about Ainu culture, extreme violence, and raunchy humor in a way that works. Noda is a one of a kind author. Also a lot of penis.

Jujutsu Kaisen Modulo (2026) Great follow-up to the original manga and a breezy read at about 25 chapters. Some of Gege's sharper writing in general. Has some fun action alongside a story about coexistence. Like the original it hits the ending faster than I'd like but still great.

Umamusume: Pretty Derby – Beginning of a New Era (2024) Caught the theater run and this is a fantastic sports anime film. Absolutely gorgeous with some really cool shots alongside insane horse sakuga. A guy in the row behind me during a sadder moment said "Mood Go Down" out loud I can't believe it

Bungo Stray Dogs Part 1 (2012-2026) As of today the manga has finished its 'first part' - A very fun battle series. This last arc when it started didn't feel like it was gonna be so dense but man they packed quite a bit. Peak Fujoshi media. Need Bones to adapt this lack part of the arc.

Resident Evil Requiem (2026) Had a fantastic time with this one. Features the best explorable location since the RPD from RE2 and had some genuinely unnerving and scary segments for once. Leon action combat continues to feel absurdly fun. A lot of cool encounters and setpieces. Peak.

Golden Kamuy - Season 4 (2022) Finally catching up since the anime is ending. Great piece of historical fiction and keeps all of his moving factions interesting. This opening is the best as it sells the beauty, action, and drama of a show where a serial killer escapes pursuers by cumming on them.

Kaiju No. 8 Manga (2025) Since Season 2 ended on top of the Final Arc I decided to read the rest. Great art, and the ending was pretty good. A fun series about it never being too late to shoot for your dreams. Smooth read/watch. Nothing remarkable but fast paced and entertaining enough.

Kaiju No. 8 Season 2 (2025) Real good like Season 1 serving mostly as an Act 2 for the story. A lot of focus on powering up our extended cast alongside some nice backstory. Ends in a rough spot since the next chunk of story is several big fights. I'll just hop onto the Manga.

Spy x Family Season 3 (2025) Probably my favorite season so far. So good mini-arcs with some much needed backstory for Loid. Comedy is still on-point too. Final couple episodes were really standout.

Kaiju No. 8 Season 1 (2024) Fun series showing even in your early 30s you can achieve your dreams of defending your home so long as you become a horrible monster that pisses from your nipples. Fun action series. Goes where you expect mostly. OP/ED are absolute bangers.

Trails Beyond the Horizon (2026) Fantastic. One of the best entries in the series for me. First time playing on Hard Mode and it was thrilling and fun, the gameplay is finally up to CS4/Reverie standards. Here's my exhaustive, complicated thoughts on the arc thus far. Mostly spoiler-free.

Trails through Daybreak II (2025) After a shaky foundation in DB1 this game slows things down for a character-focused story, massive character development for some, big payoffs for certain factions, and significantly stronger villains. Loved it. Top 3 Trails for me atm.

Avatar Fire and Ash (2025) The best looking film ever, as expected from Cameron. This is a loooong film, but honestly I can't say it isn't justified in that there's a lot of stuff going on and the entire main cast gets some good development/stuff to do. Quartich continues to be insanely funny.

Marty Supreme (2025) An excellent film that shows the power of a fast talking egotistical table tennis player delivering a viewing experience that devolves into what I can only describe as a perpetual panic attack for like an hour straight. Incredible. One of the best films of 2025.

The Fragrant Flower Blooms with Dignity (2025) A delightful romance series it’s so cute and sweet from start to finish. A very smooth and enjoyable watch it’s impossible to not smile as these two slowly get closer.

One Battle After Another (2025) Great Black Comedy that's come out at sadly the right time. Really hones in on those who try to make a difference can also just be colossal fuck ups. Sean Penn delivering such a darkly funny performance that's worth it on its own. Magic Latino Sensei was crazy.

Trails through Daybreak (2021) Enjoyed seeing Calvard finally after games upon games of setup. The new combat (while a bit clunky) is fun, though way easier to sleep walk through than CS3-Reverie I think its good, but the bad villains and incredibly weak finale does sour it a bit.

Metroid Prime 4: Beyond (2025) This was great. Had some unfortunate compromises because of Switch 1 but I had a great time. Bosses were all really great, music was insanely good, and I really enjoyed the finale. The main dungeons themselves were also very cool. Excited for Metroid Prime 5.

Jujutsu Kaisen -Execution- (2025) An unhinged production of condensing JJK's Shibuya Incident into about 45 minutes and premiering the first two episodes of Culling Games. New stuff looks just as incredible as the highs from Season 2. Naoya sure gets a fucking amazing debut.

Now You See Me: Now You Don't (2025) The genre of Shonen Wizard Heists has returned. I think this was more solid than the second film having all the usual trapping out expect and want from these films. At one point they start doing a Symphony of the Night combo on cops. Excited for the next one.

Metroid Prime Remastered (2023) First time playing through this fully. Great atmosphere, music, ect. Wasn't huge on some sections of the map and how everything connects. Misunderstood that Plasma really is just a straight damage upgrade so I found the Ridley fight to be pretty tough for a bit.

Witch Watch (2025) Delightful comedy anime. I wasn't over the moon with it as I watched the 25 episodes across a couple of weeks but it was really enjoyable. Great dub. Best episodes involved the fujoshi otakus who were really into what was clearly a very bad shonen battle manga.

Spongebob Squarepants: Titans of the Tide (2025) Pretty good and a nice enough upgrade from The Cosmic Shake from 2023. The character swapping and platforming mechanics feel really tight and everything blends well. A bit cheap in places lacking sound effects in places in cutscenes but still good.

Fullmetal Alchemist and the Broken Angel (2003) A fairly jank but entertaining Action RPG with a unique story in the world of FMA 03. While a lot of bosses/encounters range from serviceable to kinda bad it has a kickass soundtrack and a genuinely heartfelt and beautiful ending much like the show.

Dispatch (2025) Excellent Telltale style game. Probably my favorite of those. While it lacks the exploration those games had the Dispatch-style management was really fun. Great story, acting was top notch and its animated so well. I hope they do a Season 2.

True Crime Streets of LA (2003) John Woo cinematic action game mixed with a GTA-like sandbox of LA that's like 3-4x the size of GTA5 somehow. The game is making noises constantly. You fight a North Korean Super General while Minerva by the Deftones plays. Immaculate game. Nothing else measures up

Your Forma (2025) Sci-Fi detective show. Its got brain diving, cyber crimes, a lot of plot around robots doing their take on Asimov's law of Robotics. Adaptation apparently shifts thing around a bunch which explains why it was so confusing and very hard to get invested until the back third.

Silent Hill ƒ (2025) Silent Hill is well and truly back for the first time in over 20 years. A truly uncomfortable, miserable, and beautiful world. Grabbing each ending is an immensely satisfying peeling back of the layers on a really incredibly story. A bit too combat focused in the last third.

Gen V Season 2 (2025) Very impressive both as a new season, picking up post-S4 events from The Boys and most importantly delivering a story that respects and integrates the death of a main cast member respectfully. Compelling, funny, a bit too gross. Has me very pumped for the end of The Boys.

Pokémon Legends Z-A (2025) As a sequel to XY, this was pretty fun and satisfying. Limiting everything to one city was a great move and alongside its quests gave it the vibe of a Yakuza game. New combat is fun and the music is incredible. The Diamond is Unbreakable of Pokémon.
