For some reason, attempting to mount the XFS partition gives the error, "unknown fs type 'xfs'." I can see the XFS module is loaded, so I am at a dead end. Used `binwalk` to see if it can't get anything. It got mostly boring stuff...except this. This caught me so off guard. Why is this on the HDD?

Anyone know of a good alternative to AvaloniaUI? They have rejected me from getting a free developer license for their dev tools, and their legacy version is broken. I used to love Avalonia, but how can I when they threw something that was free, behind an account creation/payment.

Recently installed Windows Server into a Proxmox VM in case I need it as a build server for Windows-Only things. I fucking hate it, it fought me to install drivers, enable SSH, and to get SSH to punch through the firewall. It's a nice to have, but I hate it.

I was able to recover only HALF(!) of my favorites from the old player. I am also not taking any chances on Monstercat fucking me over. I am going to download, locally store it, and write my own player that OBS can hook into. Will be venting on the Fediverse about the new player btw.

I was browsing Reddit (which I should probably stop) and came across this image. And it reminded me of this stupid fact. System32 actually contains 64-bit files, while WOW64 contains the 32-bit files. Windows redirects 32-bit apps to WOW64. On Linux, there is /usr/lib, /usr/lib32, and /lib64.(1/4)

I would say I am too American to understand this, but I don't even use the American standard of MM/DD/YYYY. I was confused until I realized that some people use, what I call, flipped ISO 8601 for the date. However, my locale is set to DE, so if I switch to short, I hate you (jokenly of course).

A big reason why I love Linux, and @kde.org is just how responsive and feature rich it is. While Windows 11 may have tabs and AI, the feature I use the MOST in Dolphin is split pane and WebDAV support. So nice to just drag stuff from local storage to the cloud or vice versa, no dedicated app.

OMFG It fucking worked! Using depth-only culling got transparency working. I was worried because inside the @unity.com editor, it comes up as black, but only when building to standalone does it capture the alpha. Welp, one concern gone, and I hope this doesn't come back to bite me.

I recently became aware of JPEG XL and how many platforms support support it (fuck Google for attempting to kill it) and it shrank the image by about 6-7x. AVIF is technically smaller, however, we don't talk about it.

Interesting fact with this one, I had to render it on my CPU. So it took about 10x longer to render out. Normally I render on my GPU so it goes by quicker, however, when I did that with this scene, I would get these artifacts. If anyone has any idea why, would be curious to hear it.
