Pirah is an android with an oversized sweatshirt, blue hair, blue circuitry at various points, and freckles.

Pirah's was relatively simple, with just a sweatshirt for clothing, so even tho you can't see most of it, I did add all of minute details for the android parts, and hand embroidered them on. I also satin stitched on some cotton that I had that looks like circuits on all of the pivot points.

I also bought Pirah's merch sweatshirt, and used that for the actual clothing, so then it's actually canon too. I embroidered the words on too, sadly, even on a small sweatshirt, the graphic was too big to use. I also didn't sew the sweatshirt on, so it's actually removable too!

Snooze is a human with bear ears and a bear tail, wearing a comfortable oversized red sweatshirt, brown pants, and a white t-shirt.

For making Snooze, I wanted to make sure that the hair swept in the correct way especially, so it's about 7 seperate pieces, even from the bear ears too.

All of the clothing is made from pieces from the thrift store to lay like actual clothing, and the patches on the sweatshirt were hand done either on the machine's lettering setting, or in the case of the Japanese, done by hand. They're all hand attached, and I was able to make some of the designs by drawing on the patches with gel pens to mimic the black and white caution on the lower arm.

I made sure that all of the added details like the cuff links, and the bottom of the sweatshirt edge from the actual hoodie that I'd gotten, so it'll sit correctly at the wrists and waist as well. I tried to add a tiny zipper, but it ended up not working, so I added some white thread instead when sewing the hem to look like zipper teeth instead.

Wolx is an Oni humanoid, wearing tied up blue hakama pants, an oversized orange gradient juban kimono top, with a dark burgandy happi coat, and black hair.

When I was making Wolx, I wanted to use all actual kimono fabrics, but a lot of the patterns to match were too oversized, and didn't fit when cut out, so I ended up getting batik quilting cottons to match instead for more of the ombre designs.

For the tiny details, I used golden inks from Kuretake for his crest and swirl details on the hakama, it doesn't run and bleed into the cotton, so it was perfect for the miniscule detail work. It looks better than sewing it on with embroidery thread, which frays quickly.

All of the clothing is all separate too, and able to be removed and replaced if needed. I also used ribbon for the geta to make sure it's the same thickness, It was easier to sew down than using more 4-way stretch fabric.

It's been a bit since my last #kyuuthreads , so I figured I'd show off the octopus I made on stream #kyuukulive !! I drew a member of chat a while back as an octopus with a top hat, so I used the lovely pattern from ritavantasselstudio.com , and added wire like suggested to make him posable!

So a couple of things, what is the format you're saving in? I know Pirah has a way to compress the files more with less loss, but just changing to NVENC, H.264 is great for an initial size file reduction. We determined these are better, and now my files are greatly reduced. MP4 also helps!

Kapen was a ton of fun to do! I really liked working on all the tiny details, to offset the simple clothing, so I put a lot of extra efforts. My roommate worked on helping with 3D printing tiny pieces, such as the pencils, the tiny buckles, and painting the tiny parts too. I also used the buttons from the original blue shirt I used, to try and get some congruency!

Kapen is a sitting plush, wearing black work pants, black work shoes, a blue collared shirt, green armband, and a brown apron. He has a name tag, some coffee themed buttons, and a mic for orders on the side of his face.

When I worked on Radi, I had decided that I really wanted to have the hair keep the two different colors, without having to resort to using the embroidery machine and flatten the hair, so I made the second piece of the bangs keep the white! I also used the brown from Kapen's apron for the bomber jacket, and used some gold earrings for the bangle so it can be removed if ever needed! I even printed a koala head too, for the tiny charm on the pants. :)

Radi is a fox themed Vtuber, with fox ears, a fox tail, and golden eyes behind black triangle shades. She wears a brown bomber jacker with her name stitched on the arm, and pink/beige fluff on the edges of the jacket. She has fingerless gloves, light brown cargo pants, multiple belting, a white tshirt, and tall brown boots. Her hair is red and white, in multiple sections to match the fox theme.

When I was making Wren, I knew I wanted to print all of the tiny details and paint them all at the same time, instead of having them all be different golds to match. I also tried to get full clothing pieces in the pinks needed, so I could make sure all the colors followed the reference and use a minimal amount of variations. In Wren's current chibi model, she has sparkles in the hair, and I had extra translucent flower pieces from a recent order, so I sewed those into the hair to match!

Wren is a Fae vtuber, with elf ears and long ponytailed mauve hair. She has frills everywhere, including in the hair and on the edges of the clothing. She wears a light rose colored sweater with cable knit and long sleeves, and a darker rose colored pleated skirt. She has tall boots, thigh highs, and lots of golden decor, a rose, celtic knots, and a waist band with a golden chain.

The next bat is a darker purple, with the same inner fabric. Then a yellow sunshine bat, with the same inner fabric, but a little lighter of a purple background. Then a light dusky purple bat in the front, featuring the same bubble fabric, and a medium purple with blue under toned bat completes the set. They all have black eyes with a purple ring, and are all facing the viewer.

ONLY ONE? Well, one time, we didn't mow the lawn for a couple of months, so I took out an Eevee I made from @syleniscrafts.bsky.social 's pattern to take pictures! An ethereal child ✨ If you see this, post one of your plushies!

A plump, "taro colored" purple bat! The pattern and eyes are from Teacuplion/Laura, with some edits by Kyuu.

Taro was one of the first plushes that I attempted to rehoop my fabric, in order to move around the face and add the blushes! I ended up miss aligning the hoop a little, so it makes his face look like his one cheek is drooping, but I love the way it turned out. I've gotten way more confident since, and am learning to add and move around different pieces on the embroidery machine. I made Taro right after Aku debuted, because I just love bats in general, and I wanted to make the angry cutie.

He is large, bulbous, and has one wing. He has tiny feet, and small bat ears, and a carrot like face with fangs, like >_<. He has added blush, and sits against a beige background.

I went through so many clothing attempts with poor Ria, I tried glitter fabric, satin, tiny grey filled piping details, satin stitching, suiting material, and none of them worked out on such a small scale. I ended up liking the look of drawing on the fabric like I did with Lacuna's, and I thought it came out great on her dress for all the tiny details. I tried to fit as many of the parts as possible, and adding buttons instead of gems, so you're drawn more to her eyes. These were perfect buttons that I got, and I wanted them to stand out to everything else lol! I also had a friend of mine 3d print some crow skull earrings to different sizes, and my roommate painted them to as close to bone colored as possible, and I attached them EVERYWHERE. THEY WERE PERFECT!

Ziria is a bird themed deity Vtuber, with a lot of feather motifs and designs. She has black feathers in a headband on either side, and longer elf-like pointed ears, with feather earrings. She has long grey hair with a dark blue highlight design, and a large fur/feather boa around the arms and wrapped around her back. She has several crow/bird skulls, wrapped around a sash on the waist, and also at the neck over a fur/feather choker. She has a navy to light blue dress on, with silver shiny details, and pointed stilettos with more silver jewelry like details.

Rika was my first one, and I pulled out as many stops as I could, she has a ton of details, despite having "basic" clothing, and I wanted to fit all of them in to be the most true to her design as a result. I made her before Lacuna, so her caution tape is actually stitched together, I took black sweatshirt fabric, and hand stitched on all of the yellow, and then cut it to size. I think I still have about a foot of this left over, and I wanted all of it to look a little less polished than Lacuna's sleek design, and loved the hand stitched grungy look! She was my first attempt as this large blocked out hair, and I ended up doing the same for the rest to keep with the theme, and keep them extra soft and snuggly as a result. I don't dislike the laser cut hair of modern anime plushes, but I love the softness you get with the double sided. You can't see them, but I also dyed parts of her the purple she has with no jacket, and added more safety eyes everywhere needed, haha.

Rika is a Hellhound Vtuber, with large dog ears, and black horns. She has long brown scraggly hair, and a scruffy brown tail. She wears a black fitted tanktop, and has demonic eyes on the side of her shoulder. She wears an oversized black hoodie with yellow details of eyes, the word "Rika", caution tape, and hanging bits. She has tiny shorts, a tall stocking on one leg with holes, and the other buckles. She has black combat boots, one laced with purple, and the other the continuing caution tape.

I actually made Tora after making her official adorable tiger, Solar, and wanted to continue using the same colors for continuance, so they'd match. This was my first time using the eye pattern that Mon Pattern makes, and it makes the face look smaller, so my hope is if I keep using it, I make them bigger. I like the buttons of the others, it gives a Coraline vibe and typical style of other vgen artists who make plushie art. But I tried using a swimsuit material for all of Tora's details, and I loved working with it, and put it EVERYWHERE. It was so much fun. You can't see it, since the clothes are sewn on, but I also hand embroidered all of Tora's exact stripes on the arms, and down the back. phew.

Tora is a firey tiger Vtuber, with long blonde hair with ringlets in the front. She has purple tiger ears on top of her head, and a stripey tail in blonde and purple. She has a light purple collared shirt, pushed up past the elbows, and has tiger stripes poking out. She has small gloves, a purple tie, and a purple harness with a yellow/bone colored spine that peeks to the front. She also has slightly ripped long jeans, and red tennis shoes, and has a belt with a large paw printed belt buckle.

I tried to emulate as much of the clothing as possible, and under the jacket, I did make every bit of the plugsuit, and add small bits of EVA cosplay foam to make as many of the details as possible. All of the jacket details were hand satin stitched on, and the star on her back was my favorite part. My roommate hand painted tiny details, like the buttons on the hood, smaller than your fingernail! She came out AMAZING.

The rivets on her goggles are actually painted googly eyes, it's my favorite cosplay trick I learned.

Astro is a, African American galactic cat Vtuber, wearing a black plug suit, mismatched black and white tall socks, with a red jacket with black side stripes, brown goggles with pink lenses, and fingerless gloves. She also has a broken cat tail. Her hair is a two toned black and white, and she has white stirrups on the bottom of her jacket. She also has a regular glove on one hand, and fingerless on the other.

False was one of the first ones I worked on, and the first to use a particular pattern that I hand patterned to work with this pattern, and those are the boobas. I think I could have gone bigger, but it fits with the chibi esthetic this way. I also ordered all of the gold Sakura charms straight from Japan, because she deserves the best!

False is a pink fox Vtuber, wearing a heart cut out white sweater, with a red sweater jacket with string crossed through the sleeves. She has a black plaid skirt, that opens up to a g-string with gold sakura tassles, and she wears thigh high white socks. She has a pink to white fox tail, pink fluffy fox ears, and between them is a perfect heart ahoge.

Lacuna's clothing was a lot of fun for me, but also a hassle. I ended up doing two iterations of the coat, before finally deciding to just do everything in actual leather, with the yellow inside lining being cotton. Entirely made of cottons and wools didn't keep the proper flair out shape that I wanted, despite trying additive things like horsehair. I was able to fudge a lot of the details like this, though, and was able to physically sharpie on the coat details like the caution areas, the buttons, and tiny grey fringe to be the most accurate! She was also the first one I did color blocking for the hair, and I love how the grey bits stand out with the brown in her hair.

Lacuna is an assassin panda Vtuber, having brown panda ears and twin tails. She has grey hair strands, and her tails go down past her shoulders. She is wearing a white top that shows off her cleavage, and has black straps everywhere. She's wearing an asymmetrical set of pants, one opening to shorts with fishnets, and has an oversized leather/plasticy coat. It has giant sleeves, and has a caution tape motif wrapping around as a lower layer and on the sleeves, and a grey bubbly looking fringe. It has giant pockets on the sleeves for storage, and she has fingerless gloves.

I loved making Bri so much! I wanted to be as true as possible with her hair as well, and tried various patterns for curls that people suggested in the plush community. I ended up not liking any of them, so I decided to go the old fashioned way that my neighbor showed me on porcelain dolls when I was younger, and I hand twirled each length of yarn around a metal knitting needle, and poured over boiling water. All of the strands were in a couple of pieces, and I took a giant skein of yarn, and two sewing needles, and pulled the hair to cover the skull. In hindsight, I could have put pink minky in the back of the head, but I wanted the continuance from the curly bits to match! I also found the perfect cutest heart charms that closely matched her art, and added them everywhere. And the glasses are Blythe glasses that I ripped off the sides as well.

Bri is an African American devil Vtuber, with curly pink hair done up in a ponytail, with fringe on either side of the face. She has glasses and pointed ears with ! and ? earrings. She has an oversized heart choker, and a black fitted corset with a heart cut out. She has fingerless gloves and a cream colored fur boa around the shoulders, and comfy pants, with oversized pockets and tiny details. She's also wearing combat boots, and has a tail that ends with a heart. She also has horns, and a black headband with black roses and spikes.
