I probably shouldn't be as amused by this sketch as I am. After getting Pen's Marriage mod, I dragged him everywhere as a form of community service (except on Sunday, mandatory church counseling). I imagine many Sandrockers were unhappy with this. Poor Logan. #mtas #MyTimeAtSandrock #mtaspen

Took a break from anatomy to practice my sketching process & style. Also trying to incorporate better emotion. It's still hard to see the forms in line art. Starting with color blobs is easier for me. I got frustrated by proportions and shaded a skull 😅. Shading pleases my brain. #MTASPen

Getting better at art is slow when you still have to adult. I still need to use references so I'm brushing up on the fundamentals. Even tho it's digital I still like the look of pencils. #artpractice

My pfp is a lighting study blending a reference image and my MTAS builder. Looking back, I find it interesting how the values changed. I wasn't planning on coloring it, so from v3 to v5 the skin tone gets darker to make it not as abrasive when tiny. #art #lightstudy

Losing the battle against perfection as I try different styles for hair. Would have helped if my reference wasn't in that dark stairway. 🤦 Every time I look at the reference sheet I think "Babe, why do you keep giving me hats?"

Reference photos of hair from Pen from My Time at Sandrock with plate overlays. Points out ear clipping and nose model differences. Two drawn hairs, one with wispy ends in a somewhat realistic style, the other with a more flat style with visible brushstrokes. One reference has a soft shaded hat of shame.
