Welcome to me gushing about #Civ #music again because @geoffknorr.bsky.social enthralls me with his work. It's great to see Caribbean and Tongan representation in the series now! Iceland is coming next month, and I am STOKED to hear that theme. www.youtube.com/watch?v=LMl0...

After having maintenance yesterday, Duolingo didn't record my lesson. My goal was to go an entire year without missing a day before quitting this app, and a server hiccup said no. Oh well. I can put my 1,635 day streak away and finally move over to #Busuu.

A real conversation in my hotel on my first day in #Germany / #Deutschland: Me: Guten Morgen! Wo ist das Frühstück essen? Clerk: Guten Morgen! Im diesem Zimmer. Me: Und wasser auch, ja? Clerk: Ja! Me: Ah! Gracias! youtu.be/jgKQ6RSdh20?...

Some words you'll hear daily in our house. "Thank you for cooking supper, for locking up, for taking care of the laundry, for that reminder, for thinking of me, for carrying that..." and so on. Saying thank you is so simple but is a daily reminder of our appreciation for each other. 💞

The new energy system drains even if you had a perfect score. Subscription-only things are now on the main learning path (but can be skipped). You can't practice for more energy, only ads or subscriptions. I set out a goal to not miss a day of this year. I will finish it, then that's it.

Remember when #Duolingo used to be amazing? When it had a thriving forum, had native language volunteers help develop courses? When you could practice to regain hearts lost through mistakes? The forums are closed. Volunteers were closed out in favor of AI and now it's ads ads ads ads ads ads ads.

Aside from the lack of temperature control in buildings, I can't think of any significant negatives. I don't know what taxes, government policies, things like that are, but I'm already yearning to go back. Thanks for having me, #deutschland. Prost. c: Cat antics in #Steinau 's castle.

My takeaways from visiting #Germany: 1. Food is SIGNIFICANTLY more affordable. 2. The trains will arrive when they darn well feel like it. 3. Bring lots of water as fountains are rare. 4. People were appreciatively amused by me speaking Gernglishb (like Spainglish). 5. Everyone seemed very happy!

Been in #Germany for two and a half days now. The biggest shock to me isn't the culture difference, it isn't how friendly everyone is. It's the food. It's so AFFORDABLE. You're telling me a whole plate of spaghetti bologna with a glass of wine and tiramisu is only €8?! Truly amazing. #deutschland

Adding /lean into #WoW adds SO MUCH to the player models, even if it's a simple animation. I'd love to see more animations for us in #Midnight , these little things breathe so much more life to our lil' characters.

Hear me out. #MechaGnome. Get the heritage armor, make 'em look like a full robot. Make up some story that he was an abandoned machine at Mechagon or something. Fury warrior or marksmanship hunter. Make 'em a little deranged, little TOO eager for combat. Bam. E-123 Omega in #WoW.

this was the plot of skyrim wizard college I think

comic with characters from the video game Skyrim. Ancano, an elf in black robes, says "Students, I have something I need to confess. I AM a Thalmor spy, I'm taking the orb, and you're all as good as dead." The four students are reacting to this admission. There is a rainbow "gay is okay!" banner behind them, and three of the four are wearing or holding lgbt flag paraphernalia including a cake. J'Zargo, a grey colored cat person, smiles and says "This one is owed 50 septims."
