Everyone in the Fallen London subreddit understandably accepts that the rhyme is dropping the "r" (because English Accent) but I'm the ghost living with an Australio-Londinius-Californican who inserts "r"s all over god's good English and am hearing it with the rhotic insertion instead.

Fallen London Action from Estival 2026: "Moonlight as a barker. 'Fight a war! Hunt a law! Get crushed beneath a tiger's paw!' This will earn a small amount of Misplaced Nostalgia."

The Wang Chung soundtrack from To Live and Die in LA has not stopped bubbling to the surface of my brain since I heard it. I think I loved that movie (and marked it as a favorite though this view doesn’t show it), even though it’s very much Not Me.

I love that you mentioned how thinly that Black Mirror Episode handled the concept of rating interactions in comparison to App Development. I always bring this up when I talk about it (my favorite episode tied with the first D&D one). All hail the Mother of Ones!

Here, I made it a little closer to reality: King Clown.

Parody of the White House parody of Times Magazine that says TRUMP at the top with an illustration of the man in front of a New York skyline. Instead of "Long Live the King" it says "Dictator of the Dipshits", the US flag is Russian, and the illustration shows Trump in his natural clown state. He is wearing clown makeup in the shape of Russian orthodox onion domes and a balloon drifts behind him, presumably due to his inability to keep ahold with his tiny hands.
