This gave me PPTSD (the P is pet). Our relatively recent feral was unseen for hours. I finally located her in the garage behind some cabinets. Told hubby. He slept until alarm went off. Had to move several lbs and cabinet to rescue her. She had returned to familiar spot she became too big to exit.

These were raccoons. They were removed. The chimney cap didn’t appear disrupted. Live and learn, in that folks started routine inspections of walls, below deck.

Not my house. Not my experience. May have lost some details in the telling from parent and passing of years. Hole through wall near deck present; possible entry via chimney. Nest involved and latrine as well. Sorry my telling doesn’t meet your standards. Bottom line, repair was $2K+

Hahaha! They live in a city. Pop 52K Backyard sloped down to retaining wall of a lake. Got in from under the deck. Hecka awful smell when it was opened up. Lots of wildlife for city dwelling.

My folks had considerable repairs needed after raccoons chewed into the house and nested in the fireplace. The feces and urine destroyed the framing of the chimney. Fortunately caught it before it collapsed.

This is a great feat. Limited land space plays a big role in gas v EV. Having well planned, scheduled public transport is huge in supporting the move to EV. Sadly, catching a plane (minimum 60 miles) or train (40 miles). Has me more dependent on personal vehicle.
