Tried patching some neurons in the habenula today… When we got there we noticed these beautiful cilia waving around coming off ependymal cells lining the third ventricle. Bonkers

In weeks like this where stress is high and things feel uncertain, I find refuge in the uw bio greenhouse where for just a few fleeting moments, I feel like I can photosynthesize amongst the luscious textures of leaves, weird smells, and the radiating warmth in the sun.
