Five Fingers
Wondrous Item, Legendary (requires attunement)

This gnarled, disembodied hand is covered in deep scarring and its skin has been tinged a deep shade of inky grey. Where the wrist was severed, a finely crafted silken cloth in a sanguine shade of red has been wrapped around it and affixed to a golden ring allowing for it to be easily secured to a strap or belt. When found, 1d4-1 of the five fingers are already curled and blackened with decay. When a creature attunes to this hand, the uncurled fingers ignite with an illusory blue flame.

While attuned to this item, when you take damage or are inflicted with a condition by an attack or spell effect you can use a reaction to envision your death at the hand of that attack or spell. When you do so, one of the lit fingers curls and rots, extinguishing its illusory flame as it does. You instead take no damage and are not inflicted with any conditions from the triggering attack or spell.

Curse. This item is cursed and becoming attuned to it extends the curse to you. While cursed you cannot remove the hand and any attempts to do so sees it magically returning to you at some later point. While cursed, if you are reduced to zero hit points, the hand automatically triggers its reaction and negates the triggering damage, curling one finger as it does. When the final finger curls and rots, an ancient one-handed lich appears in an empty space next to you, intending to harvest your soul. Should you defeat this lich, the curse is broken and this item becomes a normal severed hand.

Vileblood Bomb
Consumable, Rare

This volatile looking glass vial is filled with a writhing and squirming red substance tinged with green and black rot that seems to be in a constant state of motion. An attempt has been made to keep this vial sealed shut with a length of rope that has been wrapped around it, securing the cork in place. A slight scent of iron and putrid flesh seeps from it at all times.

You can use an action to hurl this vial towards a space that you can see within 30 feet of you. When it reaches that space, it explodes into a putrid mist in a 20 foot radius sphere around it. The mist spreads around corners. Creatures caught in the mist must attempt a DC 17 Constitution saving throw. On a failure, bloody lesions open on the creature’s skin causing it to take 2d8+4 necrotic damage at the start of each of its turns for 1 minute. Additionally, the creature gains 1 level of exhaustion. The creature stops taking necrotic damage if it is healed to full hit points. On a success, the creature takes 1d8+2 necrotic damage at the start of its next turn, but suffers no other effects.

Wondrous Item, Rare

This oddly fashioned brass horn flares outward from its rubber bellow to form an eerily well sculpted mouth, including teeth and an extended tongue that is offputtingly warm to the touch. It has a tendency to leak clear liquid from it as though it were drooling, though the liquid is illusory and disappears when it comes in contact with another surface.

During your turn, you can use a bonus action to softly squeeze the bellow on the horn causing it to emit a comical sound of your choice that can be heard by any creature within 50 feet of you. The source of the noise is not immediately obvious to any that hear it.

Twice per day, you can use an action to firmly squeeze the bellow on this horn, unleashing a cacophonous blast of sonic energy from it. The horn can sound many different ways when squeezed, as determined by the GM. The sound can be heard from 100 feet and through walls. Creatures within a 30 foot cone originating from you must attempt a DC 17 Constitution saving throw, taking 4d8 thunder damage and becoming deafened for 1 minute on a failed save, or taking half as much damage and not becoming deafened on a successful save. Unattended objects within the cone are blasted 10 feet away from you and any unattended, non-magical glass is shattered. Uses of this horn reset daily at dawn.

Wondrous Item, Rare

This rough and tumble looking seagull is actually a doll that has been enchanted with a semblance of life by a seemingly competent thief. It is chaotic neutral and has an Intelligence of 14, Wisdom of 11, and a Charisma of 16. It speaks Common as well as Thieves' Cant. It has deep knowledge of the underworld, but is also extremely selfish, brutish, arrogant, and crude. It refuses to help those it dubs a “do-gooder” until it sees that you are willing to bend or break the law. If you prove yourself to the seagull, it will automatically recognize and translate Thieves' Cant for you including verbal or written symbolism.

When making an Intelligence check to recall lore about the underworld, crime, racketeering, or thievery, it has a +9 bonus to its roll (including its intelligence modifier).

Mine Mine Mine. Twice per day, you can use a bonus action to command the seagull to cause a cacophonous racket, distracting one target that you can see within 30 feet. The target must succeed on a DC 17 Constitution saving throw or become distracted for 3 rounds. While distracted, the target has a -2 penalty to AC when defending against attacks from you. Additionally, it becomes deafened for the duration. Uses of this ability reset daily at dawn.

While attuned to this weapon you can see normally in Dim Light and Darkness—both magical and nonmagical—within 120 feet of yourself.

You have a +3 bonus to attack and damage rolls made with this magic weapon.

While wielding this weapon, you can use it to cast Thorn Whip, using Wisdom as your spellcasting modifier. In addition, the distance you can pull a target when you cast Thorn Whip is increased by 10 feet.

Green Sentinel. Immediately after a creature within 30 feet of you hits a target other than you with an attack, you can use your Reaction to cast Thorn Whip against that creature.

The Night’s Fury. When you are in Darkness and hit a creature with this weapon, you can teleport up to 30 feet to an unoccupied space you can see. If you make a second attack after you teleport, you have Advantage on the attack, and if you score a Critical Hit, you can teleport a second time up to 30 feet to an unoccupied space you can see. Once you use this property, you cannot use it again until the next dawn or you score a Critical Hit with this weapon.

Gloves, Rare (requires attunement by a spellcaster)

These hardened leather gloves are as garish as they come bearing obnoxiously bright, cartoonish flames down the length of them. The index fingers constantly produce a small and mostly unnoticeable illusory puff of smoke. When held to the nose, they smell of yesterday’s campfire. When donned, they are comfortably warm, though often cause your palms to sweat.

While attuned to these gloves and wearing them, you gain the ability to cast fire bolt as a cantrip. When cast from these gloves, the spell uses your spellcasting modifier.

Point Blank. Twice per day, while attuned to these gloves and wearing them, you can choose to infuse a melee weapon attack with flame that wraps around the blade originating from the gloves. You make this choice when you roll your melee weapon attack, but before you know the results. If the attack hits, it deals an extra 4d6 fire damage. This ability resets daily at dawn.

This small and adorable, yet extremely well-crafted wooden bauble resembles the form of a shrouded individual carrying a katana and clad in shades of black and red. Though the proportions are exaggerated, there’s something endearing about the artistic style chosen by whoever carved this piece. A hemp rope and metal ring have been affixed to the back of it making it the perfect accessory to clip to your clothing.

While attuned to this bauble and wearing it on your clothing, your footfalls are always silent. You cannot be detected by hearing alone and you gain a +1 bonus to Dexterity (Stealth) checks made while attuned.

Once per day, you can pull the figurine activating the rip cord on the back, causing this bauble to cast Pass Without a Trace on you. When cast in this way, you are the only one that benefits from the spell, but the figuring maintains it for one hour without you needing to concentrate on it. This ability resets daily at dawn.
