Concert hack: When your favorite band is playing in Detroit on a Thursday at a venue you’ve seen them at multiple times… Travel 5 hours north to Sault St. Marie instead to see them at a casino on the Friday and make a weekend of it. We moved to 5th row center because it was so open.

I drive past this site on my commute, and it's almost completely torn down. Pretty surprising the Lions org paid $3.5mil for an office building built in 2005, just to tear it down for more parking. Just what we need downtown, right? #Detroit www.freep.com/story/money/...

My wife and I adopted our boys from the foster care system. Now that they're adults, the struggle for independence is real as they deal with disabilities and past trauma. They may need to rely on these benefits... and yet these policies place such an unnecessary burden on them.

My wife likes to doodle and draw to relax, so she brought some draft books and markers on our vacation. One of the other families we’re camping with has toddlers, so my wife decided to make some coloring pages for them to color on. (She’s using her phone for ideas.) So thoughtful, so talented.

I’m at the ballgame with my son… and I have the tickets on my phone. He was going to walk around a bit, but, if he’s asked for his ticket to get back to his seat… theses are his options? Tell me how digital tickets are better than physical tickets.

If your family is already inside

If you have already walked through security and the ticket takers have scanned everyone in, you will not be able to "send" the ticket barcodes to their phones. Instead, you can:

• Walk together: Simply walk with your family members to your seats or the concourse, as they don't need a scanned ticket to move freely inside the stadium once they've gained initial entry.
• Share your phone: If your family members want to step away (e.g., to visit a different concourse or go to the team store), you can take a picture of their specific seat location/section or let them hold your phone if they need to show stadium staff for club-level access.
• Share account login: For heavily restricted passes, users on Reddit suggest sharing your app login credentials with a family member so they can log in and display their ticket on their own device, though this means sharing your personal account information.

First warmer day of spring and we’re sleeping with windows open overnight to keep things cool. I feel like we’ve made it to the point in metro Detroit where we can keep the furnace off and hold off turning the AC on until some time in May. Energy bills will be a wee bit better for a bit.
