Get yourself a friend like @alextotheandru.bsky.social who sees a book about one of your favorite composers, thinks of you, and then surprises you with it. Appreciate ya man!

This part here is the most obvious tell, but the people are also... Not real! They don't move like humans, no one talks or makes sounds. It's so robotic and fake!

Don't just take my word for it though! Futi is a super good resource, even if it's not perfect yet, and they've got a lot you can dive into to see just how bad the underlying defensive numbers are for Orlando.

Kyle Foley @kylefoleywrites.com · 13/09/2026

I like @futi.live for many reasons, but the most important is that it helps me keep making my case that, results aside, the underlying numbers for Orlando City still aren't great. Luck and hope aren't strategies!

I'm allowed to say what I came to LA for today but I can't say anything more... for now: I played Final Fantasy VII Revelation. Thanks Square Enix for having me out!

There it is. The Pride, not content with allowing Orlando City to be the biggest shitshow in the office, fired the only successful coach they've ever had No GM in the off-season, a mess left by the outgoing GM, ton of injuries including a star player who has barely played. But sure, fire the coach

Marching band season is so exhausting, but when the kids are making music like this it is all worth it. Such a special group, and we've still got so much more in store!

My review for The Poet Empress is too long to type so here is a screenshot. This book kicks so much ass #BookSky

First off, I hate that "fantasy written by a female author" automatically gets labeled romantasy. This is not romantasy! I would've been fine with it if it was, but it definitely wasn't!

The relationship between Terren and Mao as brothers and princes was PHENOMENAL. I kept audibly gasping at certain points, both out of shock with new developments and the emotional pull of their bond and how it changes over the years.

Wei Yin is great sometimes, and she sucks sometimes. It's why she rockets up my "favorite protagonist" list. She's in over her head, but at her core she just wants to do what's right. I love watching her stumble and fail and seem utterly hopeless at times, it makes it so much more impactful when she does what she does at the end. Her decisions, her heart, those are what make this book special.

The only thing keeping this from being a perfect score is I was thrown off a bit with the way it goes back and forth between the present and the Maro/Terren flashbacks. I caught on to the rhythm and it was fine by the end, but it bugged me at first.

Go read this, go tell your friends to read this. Holy cow.

My first thought when I saw MLS announce they're suspending the current Inter Miami coach was "oh he's about to get fired, that's why" and lol, lmao even

One-Match Suspension Issued to Inter Miami CF Head Coach Guillermo Hoyos for Club’s Repeated Violation of the Late Kickoff Policy

NEW YORK (August 27, 2026) - Major League Soccer has fined Inter Miami CF and head coach Guillermo Hoyos undisclosed amounts, and suspended Hoyos one match, for the club’s repeated violation of the Late Kickoff Policy.

I really need to get back to posting about the books I read. Today I finished "The Gone World" by Tom Sweterlitsch and it was an absolute mind-f**k. I *might* be ranking this higher because of the Pittsburgh ties, but my god it's so good. Time travel, murder mysteries, cults??? 5/5 stars #BookSky

East Coast... Beast Coast? Usually when we did our road trips up north we stopped and stayed with family friends all up and down the coast. Illinois counts as lived in because I moved there for a job, it didn't work out so I wasn't there long but it still counts.

Map is the US with 22 states I've never been to, 5 I've passed through, 19 I've visited, three I've stayed a while, and 2 I've lived in.

I'm not going to pretend to be a fashion expert, but wtf are these? Even if the design *is* popular among the youths, why??? I guess it's appealing to people who can't read but like wearing hats?

Blue Knights posted this fire photo of him mid-lot warmup and man, it was super emotional watching them perform today. I started working with this kid when I was a first year teacher and he was in middle school. Now he's a music ed senior at Alabama. Way to kick ass, James!!
