downloaded a 4K bluray rip to see if i could make more out. the film grain is way too strong on this copy but that's definitely a bunch of DEC rack mounted hard drives, probably RA81 or so. I don't recognize the unit to the right but it looks DEC too

if i ever do another version of this it will have RCA connectors directly on it, and a ribbon cable to the board. the problem is getting the right RCA connector footprint is basically guesswork

current batch of errors: "this dependency we just built is newer than the one installed, but because there is one installed, i'm not installing it" so i remove the installed dependency, rerun make, wait until it hits the same error with a different dependency, fix, repeat
