Woke up very worried and with cramps. I had a good therapy session yesterday, but realized I'm a mess. Asked me to think of my future and all I can see is a void. I think it's self defense, things have always gotten worse again, for many of us.

Since I was 11 and having terminal thoughts, I've never seen or dared dream of a future. I chose college to survive on OSAP better than Ontario Works welfare.

I waited 7 years for odsp disability supports just to keep going homeless in legislated poverty. Failed by the feds on the Canadian Disability Benefit, failed by our Mayors on addictions and the unhoused crisis, every tier of government is failing, likely where you live too...

Right now I think it's best not to see or worry about a future because the past and present already fill my plate, but I worry for us all.

You need to hear this: Poverty Accrues Interest.

We cost you more suffering than housed,
we cost you more addicted than in treatment,
we cost you at the hospital,
with the cops at encampments,
with the loss of preventative care
and when you have to mop our bodies up,
when you push us to death,

It's your job to vote for better policy, you're paying for it.

Doug Ford vilifed #addicts because he used to sell drugs and likely still has many connections to dealers and corrupt cops. He sold drugs to kids at #school, then he banned treatment centers near schools.
