Welcome to another spooky edition of Kyla's Kitchen! Today we're making white chocolate dipped peanut butter pretzel bones! I stole this recipe from Christine McConnell and mine aren't as pretty as hers, but they're yummy and much more achievable for a mere mortal like me! #cooking #food #recipe

White Chocolate Peanut Butter Pretzel Bones!
1. Melt peanut butter and combine with butter and icing sugar until it forms a sticky cookie dough.
2. Dust a surface with icing sugar and dust your hands too in order to help handling the dough.
3. Coat pretzel sticks in the dough and roll four little dough balls to attach on the ends for that classic bone shape, then place in the freezer for a few hours.
4. Melt some white chocolate and toss your chilled bones in it, then return to the freezer to set the chocolate hard.

Welcome to another edition of Kyla's Kitchen! Today we're making taco rice! It's delicious & it's easy to make a ton of it to enjoy throughout the weak! I pad it out using veggie rice to make larger portions, and I like to top it with pico de gallo, sour cream and cheese! #food #cooking #recipe

Taco Rice!
1. Grill some onions, tomatoes and capsicums then toss em in a blender.
2. In a pan brown some beef mince in a pan with more onion, capsicum and corn.
3. Pour in your blended salsa, some chicken stock, and some rice. Cover the pan and let the rice cook for about 20 minutes, stirring part way through so it doesn't stick to the bottom.
4. Serve with your toppings of choice!

Welcome to another Appetiser August edition of Kyla's Kitchen! Today we're making my chicken meatballs! I made these for a pasta dish but we enjoyed just jabbing em with toothpicks & dipping em in ranch, they immediately got added to my appetisers listing! #cooking #food #recipe

Chicken Meatballs!
1. In a food processor blitz red onion, sundried tomato, chives, bacon and feta.
2. In a large mixing bowl combine chicken mince with your blended ingredients and season well.
3. Crack an egg into the mix and combine by hand, adding a bit of bread crumbs and cheese as you go.
4. Roll into balls and air fry or bake on a sheet pan.
5. Serve with tooth picks and dippies!

Welcome to another edition of Kyla's Kitchen! Today's the start of Appetiser August! I'll share unique aps you can serve at your next get-together that're sure to get attention! Today we're making Chili Dog Cups! A tasty morsel that packs the chili dog experience in 1 bite! #cooking #food #recipe

Chili Dog Cups!
1. Cook chili the day before, I mean you could make it now specifically for this but that's a lotta work, make sure your schedule is clear.
2. Cook tatter-tots in a muffin tray! Part way through cooking take a cup and press it into the muffin tray wells, turning the tots into tatter-cups.
3. Spoon some chili into the cups along with some cheese and cut up hot dogs. Return to oven and continue baking.
4. Top with sour cream, chives and serve to guests, basking in their amusement at the novel entree

Welcome to another edition of Kyla's Kitchen! Today we're making protein balls! These have been a game changer in regards to low effort snacking! They're quite customisable too, here's 2 batches I made, one with chocolate protein powder & 1 with cookies & cream flavour! #food #cooking #recipe

Protein Balls!
1. In a mixing bowl combine rolled oats, peanut butter, honey, chocolate chips, a dash of cinnamon, a splash of milk, and optionally a scoop of protein powder.
2. With wet hands roll the mixture into bite sized balls, making sure ever ball gets a good amount of choccy chips.
3. Leave the balls in the fridge for a few hours and have a couple for brekky every day!

Chili con carne!
1. Brown mince meat & onion in a pan with a dash of salt.
2. Add a couple cans of tomatoes and beans, season liberally with cumin, paprika, cayenne and pepper.
3. Add capsicums and simmer til they soften, stirring regularly.
4. Serve on rice with a dollop of sour cream and chopped chives.

There are many ways to burger, Mouldy likes a double w/ pickles, onions & bbq sauce! I like seeded buns w/ lettuce, tomato, pickles, bacon & ketchup+mustard! #cooking #food #recipe

Burgers!

1. Take approximately 140g of minced beef, I'm using an extra lean 95/5 blend but fattier tastes better I'm just dieting atm, rolled into a ball.
2. Get your pan nice and hot before adding the meat, then smash it with a burger press or a pot!
3. Season after smashing! I simply add salt, pepper and a dash of msg
4. Toast your buns while the beef cooks, then top with sauces and salads.
5. Flip burger and add a slice of cheese, add a little water to the pan and cover it to melt the cheese real good.
6. Assemble and enjoy
