I'm at an age where I listen out for & identify elements of funk, soul & disco in all sub-genres of rock. On that note, Medium Medium, how have I never heard of them before?

A reminder #HIGNFY returns next week. Aside from the labour conference, I've a feeling the Man City news will be the other big story of the week. If so, I'd love to see Ian Hislop get that one.

It's late(ish) #September & the temperature outside right now, can be best described as boiling, not muggy. It was cooler in the daytime as well.

No #parkrun today. A cold & engineering works have forced me to suspended the tour until next week. Photos from last week: Reading Green Park map & from the fortune cookie at the Chopstix in the town.

The #Parkrun tour continued today. This week, Oak Hill in Barnet. Far from hilly apart from a slight gradient, but a good one to do.

I know the #ITV showing nothing but #JamesBond over the summer weekends has become a running joke, but it's a bit early to be showing 1 now.

Wow, I can't believe it's been 29 years to the day & 1 I'll never forget. My 1st visit to Chessington World of Adventures.

Just done Greenwich Peninsular, London's newest #Parkrun. Easy to get to, Nice & flat, great scenery & helpful volunteers. Recommended.

Anybody else just get the #EmergencyAlert. In Wetherspoons & it went off. Everybody else thought it was a fire drill.

While I commend "Five" for this commission. It'll just be a 1 hour talking head schedule filler with rent-a-gobs, detailing the chronological timeline of events & not actually answering the question. This would be the case, sans parliamentary enquiry.

Be honest, I've not heard this track or aware what's charting. When this became "news" yesterday, I tested new earphones using TV Party by Black Flack & Mesopotamia by B52s. Songs released way before I was born.

In this #Odyssey parody, there's a smutty gag from Flanders as King of Troy. "Now throughout history, when people get wood, they'll think of trojans." Cuts back to real Homer laughing.

What #Heatwave? On my way home from the weekly 5k social, with the #running club. Could've stayed home, but with so many hot days in the UK, all I can do is acclimatise. Went well though, thanks to Lucozade & Lipton.

I genuinely thought they'd end the #Glastonbury special with Bowie's Life On Mars, guessing they couldn't get clearance. But Elton was good.

Shirley Bassey's 2097 Legends set on #FortyGlastonburyGems. Watched that with my mum & found out she was a fan. 5 years after she passed, I requested History Repeating on Absolute 90's, who wanted Mother Day requests & they played it.

Glad #MockTheWeek is back in time for the #WorldCup. I remember the episode that followed England's loss to Germany in 2010 was brutal. More open and honest than any pundit at the time.

West Hams' relegation reminds me of a joke about post Olympic legacy, from when Michael Aspel hosted #HIGNFY in 2007. Based on the suggestion the stadium would be handed over to Leyton Orient & reduced to 25k seats when they play Millwall.
