I don't think the fanart thing is a problem, but it overshadows a lot of good OC artists who rarely do fanart. Can't complain about wanting originality and our own original stories if you only follow people for fanart and don't interact w oc artists. #blackanimesky #blackanimeartist

The funny thing about racists being mad about "blackwashing" is that all you need to make a character identifiable and memorable is a cool outfit, accessories, and specific personality traits. It's not "erasure" when the character's race doesn't pertain to the story whatsoever.
