I made some art! I promise I started this before yesterday's whole AI/LLM discussion. 😅

Had to take Gadget to the vet this morning because she was throwing up all night. After x-rays, it looks like she ate something that got stuck sideways in her intestines, so now she's at the vet awaiting surgery in 2 hours. Send good vibes for a successful surgery and a quick recovery!

Gadget, my dark grey and rust colored cat, curled up between my speakers, KVM switch, and keyboard on my desk. She's the best at making sure I stay on task.

One of my teammates is starting to dig into our Go code, and I've been working with them to walk through it. I've linked them to the tutorials I've written because they happen to cover a number of topics we're talking about. Today they sent me this and I couldn't help but laugh.

First time out kayaking for the year this morning! Got a good 3 hours and about 7 miles in. I sat weird and one of my legs still feels dead-ish a few hours later, though… 😬

As pride month comes to an end and businesses forget about us for another year, I wanted to celebrate because I was on a trip without social media when the month started. Enjoy some photos I took on my trip! Happy Pride from me, Reykjavik, and nature in Iceland!

The road is framed on both sides by a number of touristy shops with a number of people going about their day without a car in sight. At the end of the road, at the top of the hill, the Hallgrimskirkja church looks like it rises out of the road and the people mingling on the horizon.

A photo of Gullfoss, a waterfall on the Golden Circle in Iceland, from a distance to capture all of the individual falls that make up the larger whole. The falls cut a canyon into the land, so it's possible to experience them from the top of the canyon where this photo was taken. The falls can be seen in the middle of the photo, with the first layer of falls rushing toward the right side of the photo. After traveling a relatively short distance, the water then makes a turn so it falls toward the photographer as well as the left side of the photo. The photo just barely shows the bottom of this second set because it's hidden by the close canyon wall, but it's possible to see the far canyon wall as the river continues to flow past the right side of the photo. Finally, there's a rainbow that can be seen spanning over the falls from one side to the other, thanks to the mist kicked up by the force of the falls.
