Call me stupid: I spent the whole morning trying to figure out why the Nest Pro access point in my attic started to fall back to wireless, slowing down from 1 Gbit/s to 30-50Mbit/s. After many swear words, reinstallations and network restarts I finally saw a loose ethernet jack at the router. Grrrr
