capitalists don’t solve problems they invent new ones that you then have to pay them to not make things worse… with ads!

ending the ability to buy the entire media ecosystem and rape islands and supreme court justices with the change you find in your billionaire couch should be an easy win for any serious political party and yet..

the first roadblock is we can’t seem to get rid of the conservative democrats who prevent the party from doing anything about it.

Honestly don’t know how we continue functioning as a society with such a small number of people vacuuming up this much wealth. Basically the equivalent of the US defense budget was rerouted to 500 people in just the last nine months.

full on blood and soil/fascism to never trump republicans to neoliberal democrats, the conservative opinion is everywhere. what is lacking is a strong leftwing/socialist presence. there are a few but no where near amplified and omnipresent as conservatism.

if you want to understand conservatives then there is no shortage of their ideology in just about every facet of american society. its on the radio, its on tv, its on the internet, its in magazines, its everywhere. there is no shortage of available conservative opinion. its loud every where

all true and thats why the “moderate” democrats will only be a hindrance in this and ALL other areas. we gotta get rid of the dead weight conservatives within the party because they will be the first roadblock to creating a better future.

last polling i saw a few years back not an insignificant number of republicans want M4A something like a third. republicans are also pretty pissed about data centers! lots of good shit enjoys pretty broad popular support but neither party seems to want to inconvenience the rich.

the entire “extreme left” in or running for public office is essentially fdr new deal type stuff. and the new deal stuff (whats left) is like consistently the most popular things our government does by wide margins. makes you think.

This scandal should enter the national debate over data centers. Meta evaded $4B in taxes last year by using the "research" tax credit for its data center buildout. Tax accountants say it's highly questionable, the Congressional sponsor says buying supplies was never what was intended.

Meta is exploiting a lucrative tax break intended to support research and experimentation. Its own accountants say the gambit is risky.
