When I was 12 years old, I made up a word that 100 letters long. About 30 years later, I turned it into a song. A few years after that, I recorded it. youtu.be/4atO-WdfS9w?...

I recently finished reading “The Metamorphosis” by Franz Kafka. I know it was hailed as “groundbreaking” in the fantasy and horror fiction genres, and it likely influenced countless newer writers, but in a world filled with Stephen King, Dean Koontz, and John Saul, it now comes across as ho-hum.

The night before last, the word “cannolioscopy” appeared in my dream. I’m still trying to wrap my head around what that could mean. #dreams

Considered Rock at the time, probably due to longhaired youths playing it, this song is way more Country (or Bluegrass) than what’s being played on Country Music radio these days. youtu.be/Bya1j9qTogA?...

So the United States government can automatically register “all qualified young men” for the draft, all the while making it harder and harder to vote? Why not automatically register all eligible voters? Oh yeah, the Republicans would never win another election.

This site needs a break. Post 3 good things, none of which are the cessation of a negative. 1. Homemade bread. 2. Dog tails thumping when I walk in the door. 3. Breathing.

I don’t remember which social media platform I was on when I asked, but I was searching for a modern day #clarinet hero, along the lines of Pete Fountain or Benny Goodman. Someone pointed me toward Evan Christopher. Again, I don’t recall who made the referral, but I am forever in that person’s debt.

I’ve never listened to much Aerosmith. I met Steven Tyler once. (He mistook me for Gregg Allman, and started a conversation backstage in Nashville.) Anyway, I recently listened to their “Toys In The Attic” album, which is now 50 years old. It kicks ass. I never realized. #rockmusic

Drug ads on TV trip me out. How many people with hemolytic leukemia are going to see that ad, and ask their doctor about that drug? What does it cost to produce that ad? And what does it cost to run it during the World Series? There has to be a tax write-off involved. #BigPharma

#Americana, #Country, #Folk, #Blues, #Singer/Songwriters Brent Moyer, Richard Ferreira, Dave Isaacs, and Kurt Fortmeyer, will be together again at Springwater Supper Club and Lounge on Saturday November 1st from 4:00-7:00pm. Expect great songwriting, superb picking, and (of course) shenanigans.
