strange witch, laying in a pond & hiding from her mom #dragonage #morrigan #art

digital illustration of Morrigan from Dragon Age, laying on some fluffy grasses underwater, with fish and lily pads above. Water reflections on her skin look like raven wings. The illustration is framed by two dragon silhouettes.

Day 7/Pages 8-9 for #EMMRICHWEEK2025 #FreeDay The Conclusion! Full shojo, fluff, and self-indulgence! I pulled some dialogue that Lich!Emmrich says for this. I think he’d come to the same realizations on his mortal path, he might just arrive there a bit later. { #nixmoriarty | #DragonAge }

This page has one large image as the background with three panels layered on top. The page is colored in dual tones, with a dark green/gray in the background and the characters are shaded in beige tones with a turquoise highlight.

Predominantly in the background is the statue of the skeleton lovers from the Memorial Gardens. Wisps dance above it. In a panel just it’s right, Emmrich places the gift box in Laelia’s hands as he answers the question from the previous page: “Adoration.”

Two callout panels in the middle of the page have close ups of Laelia and Emmrich’s faces.

On the left, Laelia looks up at Emmrich with shining eyes, his hand on her check. He continues: “From you.”

“From me.” He says, in the next panel, pressing a kiss to Laelia’s palm.

At the bottom of the full image. Emmrich has knelt down on one knee to propose to a surprised Laelia, Manfred cheering behind them.

The following is in caps because I’m copying the text from the page since it’s dialogue heavy:

Emmrich: “MY ADORATION FOR YOU HAS ONLY GROWN SINCE WE FIRST MET.

MY DEAREST HEART.

YOU ARE THE MOST WONDERFUL THING TO HAVE EVER HAPPENED TO ME.

WHATEVER MAY COME, MY MOST TENDER WISH IS TO HAVE YOU BY MY SIDE, ALWAYS.

MARRY ME?

End of page

The page is colored in dual tones, with a dark green/gray in the background and the characters are shaded in beige tones with a turquoise highlight.

This page is several images of Laelia, Emmrich, and Manfred, in various states of zoom, but none are in panels. There is one, small panel, tucked half behind Laelia’s face at the top left of the page. The camera is zoomed in on her face, with tears welling up in her eyes. In the small panel, aligned with her line of sight, is an engagement ring surrounded by Shroud’s Kiss flowers. The ring has an hexagonal gem for its main setting, and two small diamond/leaf-like gems on both sides, framing the primary setting. Laelia can say nothing at the juncture, with only a “…” next to her.

To the right, Laelia has fallen onto Emmrich’s arms while he is still knelt on the ground. They embrace tightly, with big smiles on their faces, and Manfred claps his hands with joy.

These top images are separated from the bottom with flowers and foliage that surround Laelia and Emmrich. They have both relaxed into sitting on ground, Laelia almost in his lap, as they kiss. Laelia has the ring on her finger and next to them is a large fuzzy text circle with only “Yes!” for the reply.

Here is it! A beast of over 900 pages. XD I collaborated with Lunette and illustrated her story "What connects and devours". An AU that has some Bloodborne influence and darker undertones, hence the more gritty style of the illustration. :) #emmrichvolkarin #emmrook #dragonageveilguard #dragonage

I'm in the trenches struggling to draw still, but I had to excise some fluff before the madness set in 😔👌 I think qunari should headbonk like cats for affection. Why have all that forehead real estate if not for bonk. #DragonAge #emmrook 🎨

simple stylised doodle of emmrich volkarin and a custom qunari rook from dragon age, bonking heads affectionately. with a smaller doodle beside it where emmrich has a bump on his head and looks cartoonishly knocked out, with rook looking shocked, with the caption 'bonked too hard :('

A clean version of the cover for my #EMMRICHWEEK2025 comic “Adoration.” I painted this as a sort of Leyendecker study—the style really does suit him so well. Day 1: #Necromancy { #nixmoriarty | #DragonAge } Thank you DATVCOMPANIONWEEKS for hosting on tumblr!

Emmrich from Dragon Age the Veilguard performs necromancy to animate a skull. Painting style is based on Leyendecker’s art deco character paintings, with very warm tones and a black background. Emmrich’s hands are raised, with turquoise magic flowing through his figures and through ye skull, which is levitating to about chest high. He stands in front of a podium, with candles to the left, and a pile of skulls sitting on a red cloth to the right.
