Thinking about Laplace's Box again and laughing

I just wanna watch anime on my TV 😔

000

no idea if you're gonna keep this up for 6+ months, but spring 2007 was kinda insane

000

It's cool how the iOS/tvOS versions of Plex don't support .ass with fonts embedded in the mkv anymore

I haven't thought about The Underside in like 20 years lmao

I'm a bit of an outlier here

Nichijou and Steins;Gate are the only two anime that basically every person I follow on Anilist has seen

I've been saying "I should give it another shot" for the past 10 years

fwiw the answer is "I love fireworks"

I feel like back in 2016 everyone I knew was like "how the fuck have you not seen nichijou? It's peak" And in the past like year or two I've learned that like 10 people I know think it's not actually that funny

Traveling back in time 15 years to tell everyone that Psyren and Liar Game (and Lucifer & the Biscuit Hammer) are getting anime adaptations

The self tests are done and only the one drive is showing errors but it's 3am so this rebuild is gonna have to wait

000

F4U referenced it in How They Fap in Parallel Worlds chapter 30 (unfortunately it's not on Fakku anymore)

One of my NAS drives had some read errors, so I'm running diagnostics to see how fucked I am (answer: mildly, because my drives have a high probability of dying during the rebuild). Kinda funny seeing some of the stats on the drives though. 7 years of power on time, but only 86 power cycles

One of the guys didn't recognize the show, which ok fair it's a close shot and she's not in her uniform or with her usual hairstyle. But the others were like "man, i watched that show 12 years ago why would I remember" and I was like "because it's the only line anyone remembers from that show"

literally all four of them watched it but none of them got it!

I can't speak to broader anime fandom, but all of my friends who started watching anime around the same time I did have seen it.

I made some anime trivia for my friends and they all got mad at me because I said this was an easy question (they've all seen the show it's from) So, I ask you all (without looking it up), "What line comes next?"

Screenshots from Nozaki-kun. Nozaki leaning in and whispering to Chiyo "I feel the same", then Chiyo blushing.

Ok yeah I looked into it. Console Mode doesn't support it yet but there are cores that you can install that can load games from disc

Last I checked (couple months ago to be fair) the disc drive can't actually be used to boot games yet lol.

To clarify, they do have volume control but it's on the back and a pain to get to

Kunal @kunaldes.bsky.social · 27/09/2026

Thank you for this based take

I sometimes forget you're like a decade older than me lol

If it had a proper ending or was like 3 volumes longer I might recommend it to people but it's kinda just another flash in the pan Shonen Jump series

It's a Shonen Jump ecchi romcom by the author of Pretty Face and Mx0 (Yasuhiro Kano). Harisugawa gets trapped in a magical mirror that his crush bought or something? idk it's been like 15 years since it got canceled lmao. And you know I have to keep repping Evergreen. I'm like, the evergreen guy

And here's 9 manga. Shonen stuff is a bit overrepresented here but that's mostly because I read a lot of it when I was younger. Feel like I could fill another 3x3 with honorable mentions

9 manga that shaped who I am:
Evergreen, Tsubasa Resevoir Chronicle, Cardcaptor Sakura, Bokurano, Kagami no Kuni no Harisugawa, Railgun, Nisekoi, Cross Manage, Love Hina
