I don't like to fall down it, as I think both Orcs and Elves are cool.. But god am I starting to feel it with WoW as of late, especially after losing Zul'jan so disappointingly, and the story immediately getting back to Elf.

Comments about "Elf-Fatigue" and "World of Elfcraft" have been a very real sentiment for a while, further leaning into that feels unhealthy to me. I'm not even an Elf-hater, I just think all the other races are just as cool in their own right, and it would be nice to see them given cool things -

I don't disagree that it can make sense, it can be a quick way to please a large chunk of your playerbase. But when the larger community starts to feel left out, it can become a double-edged sword, compounding the issue by alienating and pushing away others.

Saw an article about how the Sky Elves were added because Elves are popular, and I couldn't help but roll my eyes and sigh because I've always hated that notion of "Well, the majority like this, so we'll give them more of that." when it's at the expense of not trying to uplift up the alternatives.

To be clear though, this isn't directed at the person who made the claim, how they interpreted the interaction was valid even if it was a joke that didn't land correctly. I'm more aiming this at some of the people in the replies of that thread who are rolling with it and taking it much further.

Not to cast doubt on claims of bad dev behaviour at Blizzcon as I of course am not there to know for sure besides what gets said online, but.. Do we always have to be so quick to assume the absolute worst when nerds are sometimes known for failing to land jokes due to failing cadence in delivery?

There are items you can fish up, a WQ you can complete for 500 rep once you're 5/6 and have done all quests, and the mobs that can spawn from fishing that give weekly rep.

I missed this reply, so apologies. That's the interpretation I hope is true, it's been a bit hazy with how Hash'ey and Shadow Hunter have a lot of crossover, and would've been nice to see their difference clarified during the Loa lorewalking. Reply is appreciated regardless though.

Zandalari have been the only group of Trolls to ever be stated as no-longer having them, and as we've also seen them for Sand Troll and Ice Troll, the practice still seems to exist for the tribal trolls.

I'm inclined to think whilst we haven't seen any named Amani NPCs outright named Shadow Hunter, that they do still exist, as the practice of training them would've had to have been passed along for the Tribes who did eventually split off to have them.

The Witherbark Tribe, which is Amani affiliated has Shadow Hunters, as well the Mossflayer and Smolderthorn tribes, who may not presently be Amani, but used to be, thus I think they are worth mentioning even if you specified against non-amani Forest Tribes.

That's the stance I took prior to 12.1, but the fact Nek'zali appears to be a Shadow Hunter that seems to not have a Loa, really stands out as something having changed.

I've never been entirely convinced Shadow-Hunter was a Darkspear only thing, just that it's a tribal thing that the Zandalari turned their backs on, seeing themselves above it. But it's definitely messy with Hash'ey now seeming to be what Shadow-Hunter was, and I've no clue what it is presently.
